  1. Cleo (8mth Staffy) used to do the same. Whilst inside, when Cleo looked like she was ready to go to the toilet, I'd take her outside and place her in the area that I wanted to be her toilet area. Whilst waiting for her to go, I would constantly say the word "wee wee" and when she finally went, I'd make a big fuss & noise and praise her. It was frustrating and there were many mistakes made, both indoors and out...but...perseverance paid off and after a few weeks I had Cleo toileting in her area (she wees and poo's there) & before she comes inside, I tell her "wee wee' and she atuomatically goes to her area & wee's. time & paitence....It worked for me. Good luck!
  2. My Cleo is a 7mth staffy and I've got the same issue as you :D The only way I was able to stop her ripping the clothes off the line was to block the area off entirely!!! goo luck!!!!
  3. Does anyone out there have any feedback on obedience training with Perth Training & Obedience Dog Club (Wed's at Rapheal Pk) or Midland Dog Club(i think) out at jackman Pk in Midland (Tues)? I dont know which club to choose to take Cleo, my 7mth Staffy!!!!! thanks Don.
  4. Hi all, I'm looking to take Cleo (6mnth Staffy) obedience training, preferably somewhere close to Bassendean but will travel... thanks! Don.
  5. This probably sounds strange, but our vet suggested that when our pup attempts to nip & bite, we simply put 2-3 fingers in her mouth. She quickly learnt that gagging wasnt nice & stopped biting within 1 week...
  6. This has to be the funniest post I've ever read!!! :p :p ;)
  7. thankyou all for your help and advice. We went down the crate path and I'm happy to say that Cleo is now sleeping thru the night. cheers!
  8. Hi all, I need some help with a crying puppy. It's been sometime since we had a pup - our staffy passed away after 13 years and we've just got ourselves a new staffy pup (8 wks old). Can someone offer advice/help top overcome a crying pup? Cleo stays in the laundry of the house, and is waking up every 2 hours at night, crying. When we arrive to comfort her, she plays for a while, then goes back to sleep, but only in our presence. If we leave, she yelps. Should we just let her yelp until she gives in? I'm not getting a lot of sleep!! thanks Don.
