  1. I paid around $1200 for my puppy.
  2. Kids shouldn't be walking dogs unsupervised but you also shouldn't let your off-lead dog approach another dog that is on-lead. It's taken a lot of time for me to get my lab to stop getting over-excited when we encounter other dogs on walks, and even now I still need to maintain a certain distance from other dogs if I am to keep him under control. I'd be really shitty if your off-leash dog approached us on a walk, by the time you call him back the damage would be done and my dog would be over-excited and pulling.
  3. Ruddock park at Westleigh is fenced and quite small.
  4. i have found this website http://www.dogfood.com.au/ and have sent email 2 weeks ago and also phoned and left a message 10days ago and have not heard back from them....? But it will give you an idea on prices! Don't use that site - they are scammers.
  5. Two males are fine... two puppies of the same age at the same time... madness! Just do a bit of a google and you will see loads of downsides. Any particular reason you want to get two at the same time?
  6. If it's for Labradors, I found Advance gave mine very runny poos and I think a few others in the lab thread experienced the same thing. I now feed my boy Great Barko (amongst other things) as it's cheap and he seems to do well on it.
  7. I think it took me a few weeks to bond with Archer, mainly because that's how long it took before he settled in and stopped crying the whole time! Big sook that he is. However whilst I loved both of my dogs pretty much from the start, now that they are maturing into adults I love them even more and I really appreciate how much easier they are to live with! I definitely prefer adults to puppies these days. I think it's normal to feel overwhelmed for the first few weeks/months.
  8. http://www.vebopet.com.au/dog%20crate.html or ebay
  9. Update: bed may be tough but not tough enough for Archer. He's already put a big hole in the corner. Guess he's going back to having an old rug in his crate as that's the only thing that lasts.
  10. Ozpetshop had the best price that I could find online, so I ordered it from there.
  11. Well our new snooza D1000 has arrived and I think it's safe to say my little bed destroyer likes it. So far he hasn't even attempted to chew it and for the first time ever he has voluntarily gone into his own crate for a lie down (usually he squeezes into Leia's tiny crate!). Fingers crossed this one lasts!
  12. For anyone thinking about buying a d1000 I think Oz Petshop has the best prices. The medium is $107 instead of the usual $140. http://www.ozpetshop.com.au/product_info.p...roducts_id/1270
