  1. I will start looking for new homes for the dogs now because I know the poor puppies will get rehomed anyway. It's a silly thing to do really. Stubbornness is one thing but unrealistic thinking is another. Does this potential new mum really understand the demands of a newborn, let alone 2??? Even with family support twins are hard work. Twin bubs and twin pups-- please. That's asking for trouble.
  2. Grrrrrrr I regret opening this thread!!!!! Unfair! need a puppy now.
  3. Pork! There are pork-based kibbles from USA and my little one did so well on those. But I can't find them here. I do give him roast pork almost every week. He loves his pork. And knackwurst
  4. I am near Ormond. I put my name down and all I got was a miserable SMALL bag of anchovy. I wanted lamb but there was none for me! The staff said they will call me when the big bags of lamb arrive....
  5. I made a reservation for Holistic Select and only managed to get a small bag of anchovy. I am really tired of the inadequate supplies. Anyway I just bought a bag of Watch & Grow. Waiting for them to come up with the "Back to Basics" selection...hopefully soon. The good thing is the food is delivered to my door It is rather expensive but my dog eats raw at night so it is still manageable for me. Watch and Grow
  6. Do you do Boxing Day Sale? I love a good bargain!
  7. Agree. Old dogs are just so special and precious. Makes me want to shed a happy tear whenever I see them trotting proudly next to their human companions.
  8. I know quite a number of Muslim dog owners. It is the wet areas of the dogs that are considered "unclean" but like any religion, followers do not necessarily follow every single doctrine. A Muslim lady I know goes through the Ramadan (month of fasting) without feeding her dog from sunrise to sunset. It's quite cute because she would wake her chow chow up at 4am or something and feed him a great meal before commencing their fasting with prayers. But dog is allowed water as she considered the dog a child.
  9. Sooooo true yet so bittersweet.
  10. I had a nagging cough some years ago. I presented myself to my GP and accidentally said " I think I might have kennel cough"
  11. "Bored with this breed so our family decided to buy another breed" "Dog barks and wakes my baby" "Dog keeps getting bad skin but I need to disinfect my floor"---dog has a bad reaction to BLEACH "I just got a divorce. Dog reminds me of my partner" "Eww he has arthritis and I don't want to pay for glucosamine every month"---a very young GR "Meat prices have gone up and he eats way too much" "Dog hair made my boyfriend sneeze" These are all real cases I have come across personally. Tell me not to get disheartened with humans
  12. Thank goodness the dogs are fine. I would have died if my dog bolted out...at least those scumbags had the decency to keep the dogs "safe". It is really horrible to feel unsafe in one's own home...
