getting bigger although not expecting a big litter

I've attached two photos.

The first is Alice's belly on the day we collected her from her AI.

The second is Alice's belly a few days after her ultrasound (day 35).

Personally to me the problem is the ease of access to purchasing dogs/puppies. If there was a ban on pet shops and internet selling of dogs and puppies, I'm sure we would see a decrease in the number of irresponsible dog owners - and that is the problem, irresponsible/ignorant dog owners, not the breeds. If every breed was owned by a responsible dog owner then we would never have the hysteria we are having now.

Dogs and puppies should only be purchased from registered, ethical breeders or from rescue organisations. And only once the potential new owners are vetted for their knowledge of breed, social responsibilities, local govt rules and regulations, and all other aspects of owning a dog.

Sites like gumtree should be stopped immediately, this site just promotes exactly what is causing these issues (along with pet shops). Personally I would like to see it harder to own a dog (in that I mean being able to purchase one in the first place).

All dog clubs and individuals etc should be lobbying councils and government to ban dogs and puppies being sold over the internet and through pet shops.

no one can force anyone to do what they don't want to do. If council officers walked off the job in protest it would also be a beginning. But it seems to be a pattern of just go with the flow here in Australia.

what do you experienced people think about camping with a pregnant bitch?

My girl is 5 weeks in and my partners first weekend off he wants to go camping up to the murray river. Is it ok to with bring her with us or best to leave her home and get my parents to feed her? Its only for 1 night. I rang monash vet who said it would be OK given that she doesn't get stressed in the car, she does get very excited but not stressed as such...

dunno what to do, but don't wanna ruin my partners weekend

Does anyone know why Dogs Victoria leaves people out then publishing results of agility/jumping trials? This has happened to me twice now, last one was the royal show!!

Monash vet told me anytime in their 8th week.

my bitches ultrasound was on day 28 from first mating. I will be X-raying on her 8th week so we know how many pups to expect.

when can you start hearing their heartbeats? around what day?...and do you need a good quality stethoscope to hear?

is it possible to hear puppy heart beats inside the mum using a stethascope?
