I wormed 1 of our dogs twice in 1 day . She snatched her brothers dose out of my hand as it was wrapped in mince. She had no adverse effects, not even the runs.

I'm definately no expert, but my Amstaff liked to try to meet all the other dogs at obedience, so I was advised by the instructors to try a halti. It has worked a treat for him & he is now listening to me rather than checking out what is going on everywhere else. I'm sure more knowledgable people will have more/better suggestions. :rolleyes:

I have just spoken to the lady from the Ipswich club & we start next Wednesday night. She was wonderful to speak to & very helpful. So we'll be the clueless one's there. I can't wait, but come Wednesday after the class I think be thinking differently. Thanks to all for your help.

The ipswich club might be the way to go. Its about 2hrs from me but only about 1/2hr from OH work, so that should work out well. I'll give them a call. I spoke to the lady from Toowoomba & I wasn't overly impressed by her at all. She likes to make you feel stupid, which didn't really bother me as that's a fairly normal feeling for me anyway. She has no people skills which is probably why she has been able to train 6 GSD's without using a single treat.

I live near Milmerran but OH works in Bris during the week so I wouldn't mind meeting somewhere in between so he can come along too. What time is the Lockyer meet on? I used to live at Glenore Grove. Thanks for all the info, I have passed in on & she can take it from there. I am just starting to change my crew to raw, its rather a scary but I'm enjoying learning more about it. Just getting the right balance is tricky but I'm sure the more I read the more I'll learn. (I hope)

I think she is going to give eukanuba a go?? Large breed puppy formula. Soaked into a mash. Does anyone have any experience with this for really young ones. I have used it & loved it but on much older pups. Thanks for any imput, I'm learning too. Pup is 3 weeks old.

Hi All, I have a friend who has a pup that is still feeding off his Mum but is ready to start on solids aswell. He is a large breed of pup. She asked me what to start him on but I really have no idea what is best. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
