  2. Very true, the only difference is the price of some of these supplement
  3. wow thanks for all the suggestions everyone. Much appreciated. As you said BC Crazy and Ness is trial and error. So I will take everything on board and try and find what works best with my boy. LisaCC that's a great idea... Surely Clark rubber would have something I could use. Thanks for the suggestion. :) I will definitely look into pernaease powder too. Thanks for the input Little Gifts I actually haven't heard of Sascha's Blend, so I will look into this one also.
  4. Will he eat raw chicken feet? I give my two mini schnauzers a frozen one each as they have natural glucausamine. I have fed these to all my dogs and have never had an arthritis problem with any of them. Oh thats interesting to know. Thank you. I will put that on my list hopefully he likes them, It would be a great treat!
  5. Hey everyone long time no post Unfortunately my return is not on a positive note but I know I can always count on you trusty DOLers! A couple of days ago Boss was diagnosed with arthritis, he has had his synovan shot and is due to go back every week for the next month. He's also on Carprofen tablets everyday. Luckily we discovered it at an early stage so hopefully we can prevent it or delay it getting worse. So I have done some research on supplements to give him and want to hear your thoughts and experiences on NAS Omega 3, 6 & 9 Oil and NAS Joint and Ligament Support? Or any recommendations you have? Also any suggestions on a mat or bed for him? Nothing outrageously expensive as its just for him to sit on whilst I'm in the lounge room otherwise he sleeps on the bed. Thanks everyone :)
  6. pitbulls and parolees is a tv program about a lady who rescues pitbulls. I have just started to watch it and absolutely LOVE it! I noticed topics back in 2009 about this tv program, so just putting it out there that now it is played on Australian TV on the Animal Planet channel. (it may have been playing for longer but I've just discovered it) http://animal.discovery.com/tv/pitbulls-and-parolees/ http://www.facebook.com/VillalobosRescueCenter?sk=wall#!/VillalobosRescueCenter?sk=wall
  7. WOW Atua that is horrible! I guess the owner had no idea but that's awful. Thanks corrie... not a day goes past I don't cry about her and its been almost 2 years
  8. At the time I really wish the vet had suggested cremation, he probably did. But I just couldn't deal with it anymore. A lesson learned. And to anyone reading think about it before anything happens.
  9. Thank you stormie this made me cry happy tears I knew it was a long shot I've just been beating myself up over it the last couple of days. Even having dreams about it lavendergirl that's a great idea, I feel I have to do something for her
  10. I had a feeling it would be something like that.
  11. Strange question but here it goes. Where or what do vets do with deceased pets? The reason I ask is after my dog was PTS I made the quick decision of them "taking care" of her. And that's my biggest regret. I don't suppose it would be possible to get to her back at all... ?

  13. Thanks for the schedule MissB. I see that the schedule starts at 9am - can someone tell me approx. what time a breed listed as number 5 would be showing? Thanks Hi, Judging starts at 9,00 in both rings. You would really need the catalogue to see how many dogs are entered in the classes befoe the dogs you want to see. Oh ok thanks. In that case can someone please email me the catalogue [email protected] thank you!!
  14. Nah, thats the schedule. We had the catalogue, but then it vanished, but thanks for trying. Oh ok sorry I'm just so excited the ridgies are finally on a weekend so I can come watch
  15. Is this what you guys are looking for? http://www.rna.org.au/media/303626/2011-canine-schedule.pdf
  16. I can't remember the name of the weed killer I used but I think it had glyphosate written on it. I just ended up spraying the weeds late at night while Boss was locked inside then plicked them out the next day and hosed everything down before letting him out.... paranoid freak I am considering I've possibly lost a dog to weed killer/rat poison or something. Thanks everyone
  17. Hey Guys I am after a dog friendly or home recipe for weed killer? Thanks
  18. Thank you so very much! I will try a couple of these places out
  19. Sorry but wrong with supermarket meat. You could always try Lenards for chicken I buy most of my dog food there. If you want you could always try the bulk meat butchers. They often have great deals on meats that are used for dogs. I don't like the supermarket meat rolls. Good idea Big Gun is just down the road from me. Sorry misunderstood thought you meant meat from the Supermarket. HAHA lucky dog if he was, but no no supermarket dog food.

  21. Hey guys my regular dog food supplier of 3 years is now closing, Canine Country. YEP the one at woodridge. I have no idea where to buy dog food now... my dog is eating supermarket food at the moment I live on the south side of Brisbane. I need a new supplier HELP ME please ETA: I did look at the sticky but that hasn't been updated in a while.
  22. Do you have any photos of an Adult GP with an Adult GSD? I would just like to compare. GPs are on my "own one day" list
  23. A ridgeback sounds like your description. They are big, short haired and protective breed. However they do need a strong hand as they can be very suborn so be prepared for training. But if you are taking it to puppy pre school you should be ok. http://www.ankc.org.au/Breed_Details.aspx?bid=23
  24. I reckon they are about 6-7 weeks.... they just grow so big so quick. I'll take them all naww I want another one!
