  1. Sorry, just read you have already picked your puppy, enjoy - they grow up so fast. :)
  2. What about a Rhodesian Ridgeback, they are great with kids & do as little or as much exercise as you want. :)
  3. I bought a cot mattress for $89 from Ikea & a single bed quilt cover for $9 at Kmart, it works great it is a bit narrower than most large dog beds & works well as my dog loves to stretch out.
  4. A bit off topic, but our cat loves my hubby, but I feed her, clean the litter tray & brush her, but she will only snuggle up to him (she is a rescue).
  5. My rhodesian ridgeback goes to Triple Crown Pet Resort & loves it. :)

  8. Our dog always goes to Triple Crown Pet Resort in Londonderry & she loves it. One time she did not eat, so they hand fed her & the next time we brought our own food & they were fine with that too. You can tell they really care about the dogs. :)
  9. I love it too, the cafe is dog friendly too.
  10. My dog is scared of storms but only at night, we have a neighbour who let of loud fireworks at night & she has hated storms ever since. We tried a thunder shirt which has helped, she is not as bad as she used to be.
  11. I grew up with small dogs, but my OH had always big dogs, we researched larger dogs & decided on rhodesian ridgeback, we won't have any thing else now, we are onto our 2nd one. :)
  12. Yes, we loved it our dog come home happy & they gave us updates of how she did at the kennel too. :)
  13. Mine loves blueberries, she will do anything for them. :)
  14. There is a on-leash park at Nurragingy not far from the one at Doonside.
  15. My sister has a cavalier & it needs more exercise than my dog.
  16. I don't think it is funny either, I take my rhodesian ridgeback out & she is well behaved but some others think it is okay for their dog to be agressive as it is only little & couldn't really hurt anything.
  17. Thanks for all the replies, so far; (more details) * Temperament? People focussed? Or more aloof/independent? - people focussed * Trainabiiity? How important is an easy to train dog? - doesn't really matter * Activity Level? An energiser bunny or a more laid back breed? - prefer laidback * Inside or outside dog? - inside when people are at home * Exercise levels? How much exercise will the dog get? 30 minutes or less a day.
  18. Hi everyone, a friend of mine is getting older & has a large dog, but for the next dog would like a medium to small size dog (preferably a short coat) she has had 2 rhodesian ridgebacks before but would like something smaller next time. Any ideas of what dogs to research? Thanks Ridgiemum.
  19. I have bought it before from T2, I think they have a online shop too.
  20. I paid $30 for a night in a kennel recently for a large dog.
  21. I have used them before, quick delivery & no problems at all. :)
