  7. Supplements - before, during & after pregnancy

???? no one want to comment
  8. I'm very interested in what supplements people use (or don't use) for a bitch before being mated, while they are pregnant and when lactating and why? Please state your breed and dosage :-)
  9. Reabsorption

Has anyone had a bitch reabsorp a litter and then go on to successfully have a subsequent litter? If so, what did you do differently? Did you use a different dog or the same dog? Ideas for prevention of reabsorption in a bitch that has a history of this would be appreciated.
  10. Vaccine-induced Distemper

this is the best scientific information I've been able to find on the subject http://vet.sagepub.com/content/17/1/17.full.pdf
  11. Vaccine-induced Distemper

Yes, I have a dog who has been diagnosed with this. She has had a cerebrospinal fluid analysis done and it has has been confirmed, the condition is extremely rare, however, that doesn't help when it's happened to your baby. I'm currently doing a lot of research on it, the company that makes the vaccine that was used guarantee it or they will pay the vet bills up to $2,500 and if the dog dies they give you $1,000 to buy another one - it's an absolute disgrace, do they not realise they are not disposable objects :-( But of course it's so rare they can afford to pay out now and again, in the meantime my poor baby has a death sentence.
