  1. I had an interesting experience late last year where the judge awarded the challenge to a minor puppy and then refused to award a reserve challenge to the remainder of the class winners. He told his steward that he was not going to award a reserve challenge, then spoke to those still in the ring and told them that he felt none of the other dogs had correct movement for the breed. Whether I agreed or not it was his decision on the day.
  2. Each block has a different set up - from memory the upstairs rooms have bunks in the room - so you can fit 2 in each room and if you have a camper bed, then you could squeeze 3 in. The rooms downstairs have either a single bed or a double bed set up - so no bunks. Best to speak to the campus themselves to make sure. I do know that people camped at these shows, but I have no idea of the facilities available.
  3. There are blocks of rooms (like dorms really), upstairs and downstairs. For each block (both up and down) there is a lounge, kitchenette, shower room and toilet room (seperate). The kitchenette and obviously the fridge are very small.
  4. Yes always the same people most of the time also.
  5. What do you mean when you say NOT dog friendly. I have stayed at the student accommodation for the last 3 years and have always found the campus quite accommodating with the dogs. Yes they are not allowed in your rooms, but you can walk them around on campus and we are even allowed to park the trailers as close to the rooms as we can. I do know that they made a big deal about dogs not been run off leash last year but I think that was more to do with the volume of dogs on site in comparison to previous years.
  6. Group 7A is specifically for Dalmatians and it says 72 - that is fantastic!!
  7. Now I know why I didn't see you today. I saw you both first thing in the morning as I arrived at 6:30 am and then never sighted you again. I unloaded all my gear, set my bench up and then drove to the Flemington racecourse entrance on Epsom road (would of been around 7:00 am by this stage) and it was open, I was the first dog trailer there. I do this every year and just have the dogs left to walk back with. Sorry you had so much trouble, and as much as we all like to get to places early, sometimes it doesn't pay to be too early!!
  8. I can do Rotties and Dalmatians for you Sway!! So excited about tomorrow... Denise
  9. It is a shame Sway that you have to justify yourself. I saw and spoke to you right after the incident and if your dog had not been bitten I am sure you would not have been so flustered. You handled yourself very well considering the circumstances.
  10. Thanks for that Rebanne, are we able to set up on the Friday and if so what time?
  11. Does anyone know the address for the showgrounds or what street it is on, don't believe I have ever been to this show before. Thanks in advance.
