Its a real dremel - its just that its the pet one designed specifically for pet nail grinding. Battery operated and I have a little havanese with black nails and it worked really well on those He has fairly tough nails but I have never had to trim anythin bigger than a swf lol

OK so I posted this in the newbie show thread but prob should have posted here Last week I ordered toby a Dremel Pet Nail grinder. Its the Dremel brand and they were $24 with a $5 flat shipping rate. Mine arrived today and I know some of the others ordered theirs after me. Today I noticed the price went up to $29 (not sure if it inc shipping at that price) but still cheap In case anyone wanted one its www.mytoolstore.com.au and just search pet dremel in the search box on the top right of the page. okay I am in for training. This week I can do almost any arvo but no laughing at Toby's feet. I am .....um grooming challenged...................... His feet looked liked they belonged on a yeti so I *tidied* them with book on grooming table and all I can say is poor poor toby

woohoo Fiona!! cant wait to meet your new lil man, Showing has been heaps of fun and like some of the others here our second dog is going to be s showy too Hopefully she will come along soon We have another member of the newy newbies Show training has been on christmas break and starts back at 6.30pm tues 19th. Trainer is Nicky Lane and you sign up when you turn up very casual bring treats if you need to and when its your turn just explain this is your stand in doggy (lil morty). I have the naughty black and white mop - you'll hear Nicky ask for the naughty one or shitty bum (last time he pooped and sat in it so i put his bum under the tap - hence the new name ) so make sure you say hi everyone is friendly Might be worth the trip to hillsborough on the weekend before for the shows (15th,16th,17th) to check em out. theres a heap of us in the toy ring who'd love to say hi and it really is worth trying to catch your own breed being judged a few times before you show to see whats expected :cool: Bec

almost 10 months - show weekend at morriset was the start 2 weeks ago. Least the back end is clipped for lola:) I am jealous of that right now

you meanie didnt you get darcy some matching knickers I'll try and get a pic of her in her knickers for you, they are a lovely light pink colour. Darcy is upset that he gets no clothes

poocow so do we. The trolley is perfect and toby often has to walk back to the car as the trolley has everything inc grooming box, gazebo, chairs, kids sz inside it. And as the guy said there is no weight limit - only what you can push my 4 yr old son has been known to ride in the trolley with Tobes and my daughter (6) on the lid Poor miss morgie and her knickers - although it really does require a piccy Toby is going through coat change. Me and my grooming table and combs are inseparable I swear his coat knots while I watch it

me too mytoolstore.com.au dremel brand was about $80 when we were looking before and they are $24 at the moment $5 for postage I think it may have been ellz on here who posted that for dogs with coated feet you can pop their nails through some stockings to keep just their nails exposed

I will second the OKS I have one as does Deb. Given your pups colour you need to be picky as apparently the silver can rub off on the white coated dogs. Martin at OKS made mine with bars that wont do that (YAY!) I put up a post about grooming tables (as I did with trolleys) and ended going with one from Liberty international in the terrier size so I have room for my brushes and products. Even though I have a toy as you do I wouldnt go smaller. I also got a grooming arm. The only thing I wish I hadnt done is go the taller length. It was great as he wouldnt jump (he likes to jump) and its great to stand at but now I am looking for a tall comfy backed stool to use it at I wish it had shorter legs. I used a small table at the first few shows. If you have to make a choice I would go grooming table first and take it to shows with you. Its also the cheaper option. It was the BEST investment for a coated toy who requires the grooming time our breeds do. Its as solid as a rock which has given toby loads of confidence (traning on an unstable table can put them off when they are a tabled breed) and us can use it to practice tabling on! its expensive starting out and adding in all the grooming stuff but I have been builing up slowly and we're getting there Bec

I can do either - trolley is a bonus as it often contains the children and/or dog. Table is more like judging. I live 5 mins away so happy to use either found someone willing to show me how to trim tobys feet yay!!! only pitfall is its after the show poor toby I really do feel bad for him that he has me handling AND grooming him - he'd be lovely in someone elses hands
