  1. this is great, thanks to everyone who are giving their honest opinion and i hope they're suitable for my 'quite small' dogs (after seeing all your big dogs). If you tell me where to go, we'd love to try them on. I'm sick of getting stuck with things that just don't fit once they arrive.
  2. hey, that webmaster sounds great but i would definitely need to try them on my two monsters first. Nice website, btw.
  3. Thanks for that info, i only wish i could take my dogs in and try it all on them rather than ordering online and crossing my fingers it fits.
  4. Has anyone got any advice on how i can stop my Houdini from 'backing out' of his harness. It's really scary when he has a pee when we're walking along a main road, then he digs up dirt and bounces around like a clown and can sometimes come out of his harness. I've adjusted it as tight as is necessary, but i can't help but wonder if there is a better suited harness out there. He is a 3yr old Jack Russell and the one he wears at the moment is a 'H' harness. Has anyone else had this problem?
  5. I rescued mine and they came a week apart. The first a 3yr old timid female followed by a 9mth old boisterous male. I had no choice really, i would have loved for us to all have bonded at the start but didn't have that luxury. To add to the whole affair, the male came down from interstate and was straight to the vet to be desexed. So it was scary for all of us, but it has worked out so well. Oh, they also were not toilet trained!!! They have full run of the house and outside (doggy door) and that too was scary for me... what damage would they do, toilet surprises, but i had to trust them to see what would happen and they have completely surprised me, they are wonderful together. I throw down a few liver treats on the kitchen floor and make them sit for a special treat then grab my bag and say 'Be Good Kids' or something like that. I have also succeeded now with their toilet training, i never thought that would happen. Having 2 dogs can sometimes be trying with training and all that, but i believe that it's positives far outweigh the negatives.
  6. Thanks troops, he's nearly 18mths old - so he should have finished teething and all that. I feed him raw chicken necks, frames and some raw mixtures from the raw food guy, i guess i'll try a few of your ideas and see how that goes.
  7. Sorry if this is already posted somewhere down the line, i did try and search but couldn't seem to find. I've picked up a few recipes for bad breath dog biscuits to make, but where on earth do you find some of the ingredients like Activated Charcoal and Brown Rice Flour? Does anyone know or does anyone know of a better solution? (Nothing to do with gums or teeth, he's just a youngen and they're in great shape) :D
