  2. Steve Austin will be featured in 60 minutes this Sunday, 12 June. Channel 9 at 7:30 pm http://sixtyminutes.ninemsn.com.au/stories/8259737/new-tricks Enjoy.
  3. NSW SES is recruiting USRD [urban Search and Rescue Dog], there is a age limit of between 6mth and 5yrs. I would think that if the dog has the potential, and the owner is willing to put in the effort and time in training (him/herself) as well as the dog, that would be ideal. Not only is the dog much happier with the opportunity to work(play), also great for the owner, being able to contribute to the society. On the other hand if the owner could not cope with a highly driven dog, it would be best to have the dog adopted by someone with experience and able to utilise that potential. That said, one has to be committed not only for the training and effort, as well as be prepared put him/herself and the dog's life/well-being on the line.
  4. Hi, any chance/interest in organising another iSqueak order?
  5. justfood4dogs are unreliable. Have been calling and leaving messages, sending SMS's, but not reply at all...
  6. NDTF Course Hi, have been to a 8 day dog trainer training course at DURAL through NDTF. Full on. But well worth it... loved meeting people who are as crazy about dogs as I am, and get to learn from the few pioneers/experts - Steve and Vicki Austin, Glen Cooke - in the dog training field is a fantastic experience. At this stage, it is more for my own interest, but who knows, this might be an start of an exciting career. Dog Training Equipment/Toys - Dog Sport Gear There is also website dogsportgear, where we have found lots of fantastic dog training equipment and toys, the prices are very competitive, especially with the strong AUD, even with the postage, most of the items are only 1/3 of what you would pay for an identical item here. Whoever is interested, go and have a look. Cheers, Robin
  7. Ptolomy Thanks for all the hard work, my dog goes crazy with it... the funniest part I guess, is watching him squeeze himself under the sofa trying to retrieve it... Any chance we can do a bulk order like this for Orbee Tuff toys? I have heard people raving about it too... Cheers, Robin
  8. isqueak frenzy  count me in... 2 medium 2 large pls. thanks [you can post to Sydney right?]
  9. I will prepare my own... should be fun... probably (more likely to be definitely) spending more time looking after my pup than myself
  10. Thanks for your advice. Will double check with the breeder.
  11. BARF_Vitamin Supplement Hi, I am getting a dobie in June, it will be 8 weeks by then. Just wondering with the BARF diet, is it still recommended to give him/her vitamin supplement? Blackmores Multivitamin Slow Release (one pill a week), and Fish oil Omega 3 (3-4 pills a week). I don't know whether that will give too much calcium and other vitamin in the dog, which will be bad for the hip and skeleton development. Stairs Also, we have stairs in the house, carpeted, and closed, i.e., no gaps between stairs, would the climbing up and down be bad for the pup's hips, and if so until when should we get it to go up and down the stairs? Any suggest most appreciated.
