  1. Hi all, I have a 2 yr old maltese girl who has only grown to be more vicious every day, biting us till we bleed. We have tried correcting her but have seen no improvements at all. Have had consultation with a vet trainer, but the techniques she asked us to try has not eased the problem. Where is the best place that can provide us with some decent help to change my vicious dog? I live in inner west Sydney, so preferably somewhere close, but if its a bit further i dont mind either Thanks for your help
  2. Hi all, i have been using aloveen conditioner for a while, but i noticed it doesnt smell as strong as it used to. maybe they have changed the ingredients? im looking for something that is similar in quality, but also smells nice on the dog afterwards.
  3. Hi there, Im thinking about going on holidays, but i dont know any decent places where they look after small dogs i have a maltese, living in lidcombe. i heard there was a good place in ryde that takes care of small dogs? does any one know where it is? i didnt want to bring my dog to hanrob cause you gotta pay so much and even then your dog is in its cell most of the day. im looking for a place where she'll be able to play with other dogs all day and be cared for well. does anyone know a place like this in sydney?
  4. no cats! but a wild cat comes walking in our backyard every night
  5. Hi there, i have a 6 months old maltese, and we wash her every week. currently shes on advocate & virbac tapeworm tablets, and after two weeks she almost certainly gets some fleas. i read that washing with shampoo reduces the effectiveness of topical neck applications can we use advantage together with sentinel spectrum? whats a better combination?
  6. Hi all, its mainly below the eyes. theres not as much density hair in that area as in the other parts of the face or body. also, its noticeably a bit pinker than the rest of the skin. (not red, but a lot pinker) i am using advocate every month followed by monthly tapeworm tablet, so i dont think its the worm we wipe her eyes every day.. im not sure wat else it can be?
  7. I noticed my maltese is getting less hair under the eyes and the area of skin under the eyes are getting quite red what could this be? i dont have the money to go back to the vet yet.. im feeding innova puppy kibble. i dont think its tear staining because there isnt any brown stuff excreted from her eyes. and i wipe them every day too.
  8. Hi there my maltese pup has started growling for some time now, followed by insane biting if we try to take her out of her dog house, or lift her up after shes started to fallen asleep. what can we do to correct this. she also does this when shes guarding her food
  9. I wash my maltese every week. given that, does advocate still work well in treating worming and heartworm? i know the flea component only last two weeks and after that my dog starts scratching
  10. thankyou all for your oppinions and advice has anyone tried advocate? how are the worming capabilities of the drop like compared to worming chews/tablets? i've read that interceptors dose is a bit higher than that of drontal tablets. is this a good thing or bad thing?
  11. Hi there, I am having trouble deciding which one is best for my little maltese? Advocate+tapeworm tablet OR Advantage + Interceptor i know that advocate covers additional things like ear mites lice etc but is this really necessary every month in sydney? cost is not a problem for me please dont take it into consideration. i just want whats best for my dog please let me know!!!
