  1. We've been using Urine Off but I think I might try one of the other products. We've also had the carpet cleaned a few times to mitigate the smell. I might book her in to get checked out just to be safe....
  2. Hi all, Our 18-month-old Mini Dachshund seemed to be fully toliet trained up until the last month or so when she has starting going to the toilet inside. It is always in the same room. She has access to outside when we are not home via a doggy door and nothing has changed in our living situation. We continue to treat and praise her when she goes to the toilet outside but this does not seem to be helping. She never does her business inside when we are home. Any advice on how we can turn things around would be much appreciated. BD
  3. I am about to enrol our dachshund in puppy kindi and in an effort to get her ready for that I’ve been trying to do some lead training. The problem is she turns into a zombie puppy whenever I put the lead and collar on! She plants her bum and won’t move a muscle and stares into space. I understand she is probably just scared, but I’m not sure what to do now. We have tried keeping the collar on, but given that she won’t move while she is wearing it I’m worried this might interfere with her toilet training as she won’t toilet with it on either. I’ve even tried enticing her with a treat whilst trying to walk her on the lead, but I’ve also been told that the lure and reward method isn’t really suitable for lead training. My next step is to try a harness instead for walking, but we would like her to wear a collar eventually so she can wear an ID tag if she were to ever escape. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks kindly
