  1. I used to walk my elderly neighbours roman nose bull terrier, along the way i found a boxer, staffordshire bull terrier and a yucky little fluff thing but from that young age of 12 i fell in love with bull breeds and really wish people could see how loving and gentle they are! I'd never be without one now
  2. I love my vet, I called him one evening when my old black dog sceemed in pain after playing with the Staffy girl it was 8pm by the time he got back to town to see us and he didn't mind at all. It turned out to be nerve damage.
  3. -hot dog sausage -sausage -leftover roast -cheese nothing unusual here, someone in my club uses carrot!!?? someone else uses shredded chicken and drops it every where!!! very annoying!!!
  4. the whole family? what about the fish???!!!
  5. GREAT now my heads itchy!!! they used to sell a spray in the chemist when i was a kid that my mum used, killed them and the eggs. first time my son got head lise i went a looking, my chemist said he knew what i was after and they didn't make it any more coz it worked!! his words too. apparently it was DDT, i think thems are the letters? TOXIC STUFF but i hate head lise and would use it! did no harm to me, 3 arms 1 leg and only 2 toes, isn't that what everyone has??
  6. very jelouse and wishing i had some beautiful waters to walk along, not just the streets.
  7. Blueys are very protective and are quite likely to be intimidating. have you thought of training your dog to do a "show" of aggression. meaning growling or barking on command? this doesn't mean BEING aggressive just acting aggressively. my dog used to work till we moved to town but his "wazit" command still gets him to attention and has him trotting on edge and making eye contact with people or animals around him. it has made people avoid us when we are out walking but i don't mind because i felt intimidated and wanted them avoiding me.
  8. sounds like he wants to be higher in the pack then your OH, maybe he should let the dog know this aint so. male dogs offten try to rise in the ranks and the bed is just the place to try it on! just as if you and your partner were his pack mates.
  9. wow you have some talent, really love your pic!!!
  10. Absolutely tragic! if a dog owner was responsible for this kind of abuse they'd be charged... maybe she should sue the impound!!
  11. Ah see my sister and i were just saying the other day that we thought pitt bulls were illigal in aus, but are they the same as a "BAN DOG"?
  12. i used a Halti for two days till a little pitty decided to have a go at my bluey, it did nothing to diture him and in the end was in tatters! worked really well befor that though!
  13. Define "reasonably" Cosmolo Most (properly raised!) Staffords are OK with other dogs that are properly raised themselves, but they don't suffer fools gladly and really don't do well with rude unsocialised aggressive dogs getting in their face - problem being that there's a whole world of dogs just like that out there.....especially in dog parks Lots and LOTS of Staffords do agility and flyball where dogs are hyped to the max and off leash - but they are under the control of someone who knows their dog and it's limitations. It's frequently said in Stafford circles that the Stafford won't usually start the fight, but they'll gladly finish it. I think that people say that is also true of many other terrier breeds, kerry blues, irish terrier, lakeland etc so to be fair to the SBT they are not alone in this I believe and this can extend to other dogs, regardless of their breed, not every dog likes dogs in their personal space I have a Aussie Cattle dog that tolorates nothing and no one and a staffie that is polar opposite and always happy to make friends with everything even chooks!
