  1. Just checked and it was $20 for pan $38 postage
  2. It was a plastic one - think they quoted me $30 for the pan and $30 for postage to WA I've just been to bunnings and bought 2m of lino from bunnings for $15 so will try that first
  3. Thanks for all your replies, managed to get one from vebo pets
  4. Rebanne Thanks for the reply, thats a good idea
  5. Only the very occasional accident but as the crate is on a wooden floor in the family room a vet bed is no good, dont want to have to replace the floor, crate pan is a bit cheaper
  6. What are the dimensions of the pan you need? Personally the first thing I do with crates is remove the pan.. just adds weight. 115cm x 72cm We use it indoors for our pup ...... helps catch any accidents
  7. Hi I'm trying to find a replacement pan/tray for an extra large dog crate ...... I've had a search online but had no luck. Any ideas Thanks
  8. We had a similar problem with our ridgeback pup, our breeder suggested using an old large roasting tin which seems to work well, she has to chase her food around so takes a little longer to eat
  9. Kenzi - loyal servant, bodyguard, he's very attentive (would make a lovely husband/boyfriend ) Nala - definitely excavation work, maybe working down the mines Me - midwife
  10. Thank you I'll have a look for that :D
  11. Hi I'm mum to a 6 yr old Staffx rescue dog and a 5month old Rhodesian Ridgegback puppy. I'm after some recommendations for dog behaviour books, reading lots of posts on here has got me wanting more Thanks in advance
  12. I got some blankets from Salvos for about $6 and cut them into quarters, that way I had lots of bedding for when I had to wash some
  13. Great photo's, don't you just loving coming home
  14. It sounds like you have a similar kind of set up to our house, with your pet gate on the laundry and a doggy door, isn't it a pain that you can't go out of that door I'm sure he'll get it and he's still only a baby at 12 weeks, we have a 19wk old pup who hasn't had an accident inside since about 12wks Do you have the pet gate open when he's allowed into the rest of the house? If he has wet his bed its likely the stuffing has got wet too, he'll be able to smell this and therefore repeat the process I think you may have to wash the complete bed, stuffing and cover and maybe invest in a different bed for the living room. Good luck
  15. It sounds like your doing everything right to me It takes time like you said, just persevere. (spelling??!) Maybe post in the training forum and you might get a bit more advice
  16. Maybe check out the hound thread too, they may have some advice specific to your breed of dog http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...66&hl=hound

    Great ideas, keep em coming
  18. Sorry, yes he's getting two meals a day -- a cup of proplan with four chicken necks both morning and night but as I say, roll on effect is not good. Um, curious reading the posts....? Should I be adding yoghurt or an inner health plus capsule too???? Makes sense that his bowel may need some good strains of bacteria.... I can only go off what I know as a new puppy owner and what was recommended by our breeder, it seems to be working for us but i'm sure someone with more experience may come and give you better/alternative advice. If all else fails maybe a trip to the vet just to rule out any health problems
  19. I've read this before but can't remember why its recommended?
  20. I've got a ridgeback pup, she's 18wks old today no probs with runny no2's so far she eats 1cup proplan large breed puppy 3xday mixed with either 200g of pet or chicken mince, raw meaty bones, 3-4 chick necks, smashed and cut into pieces, 1/2 tin of sardines. plus -1 capsule of dairy free inner health plus (human variety!) sprinkled over her food (shared over the 3 meals), she used to get her kibble softened with vegemite gravy but we've stopped that now and she's ok with it dry. She also gets a large spoonful of full fat yoghurt with her breakfast, which she loves. She is growing well, not too fast, weighs about 20kg now and eats her meals at lightening speed with 3x poops day.
  21. You must be soooooo excited, get some photo's on asap
  22. Thats fantastic news, your hard work is definitely paying off. ...... he looks great He is soooooo cute and looks really happy, he's lucky to have you and vice versa
  23. Yep, definitely take some treats and maybe a chew toy, for while your waiting Our vets had some of those dried liver treats on the counter so have a look round if you forget to take any. I'm sure she'll get lots of fuss off everyone and be absolutely fine but as a mum of a pup too I know how you feel
