My 8 yo Eenie(standard smooth haired dachshund) was dx as Diabetic in July. started out on 7units twice a day 12 hours apart, but after noticing her having a flat period around lunch time, we dropped it down to 5 units. she has been doing really well. Back to running and playing and sleeping. But has her old energy back. Was wondering if anyone has any info about changing to another insulin. food routines or any others with diabetes. Fran in Rocky.
