  1. Thanks pugrescuesydney and first time puppy owner, I am sure it won't take me too long to get the hang of how this all works
  2. Hi, I hope you don't mind me joining in, I have enjoyed reading you stories, thanks for the tip off First Time Puppy owner. Willow my Jack Russell has been diagnosed with Atopic dermatitis after having the skin allergy testing a month ago. The dermatologist didn't believe there to be any food related allergies and the testing showed strong reactions to all of the Grass pollens, Weed/Flower pollens and Tree pollens (except only a mild reaction to pine), she also showed a reaction to Moth and Ant. And she showed no reaction to Moulds or Dust. We have just finished our second week of vaccinations with no side effects yet. We are doing them twice a week for the first 5weeks and then 10days between the next 2 injections them every three weeks after that. The first 5 weeks is building up to the full dose. Greg Burton our dermatologist has said to use Elocon cream (V.Expensive!) twice a week for the first 2 months and then we see him again to see how it is all going. Luckily Willow's symptoms are mainly seasonal so I hope to have the desensitisation process well underway before Spring sets in, although her feet have been pretty bad over the last month, the Elocon cream is keeping everything else under control. Willow just has one vile, so only one injection for me thank goodness, I like Munchin am not soo keen on administering them. Unfortunatly I don't have pet insurance unlike some of you much smarter people, although I am getting a few frequent flyer points for paying on my credit card
  3. Hi, This is my first time so I hope I'm doing it right! My dog Willow has been diagnosed with Atopic dermatitis and we have just started the Immunotherapy vacinations. I was wondering if anyone had any experience of this type of treatment and whether it was successful or not. I would love to hear peoples experiences of it. Thanx
