  1. Thanks guys I will ring all of the places and enquire. He/she will be a bullmastiff pup - do they class them together on size?? I would of thought it would be good for him/her to mix with all size dogs?? Tis-me where are you exactly?? what sort of pup do you have?
  2. in between liverpool and ingleburn - will be looking for a new vet also so was hoping someone could recommend a vet too!
  3. just wondering if people could tell me exactly what crate training is? I have heard a lot of people talking about in on here with new puppies and was wondering what exactly it was and what it entailed?? Sorry I must sound so stupid but I'm just curious to know what it is. We have always let our new pups sleep in the laundry the first few nights.
  4. does anyone know anywhere to take a puppy to preschool in the southwest area?? We are new to the area and I think the place we took our previous dogs to is too far away. I have a while to find somewhere but thought I'd put the question out there now. Thanks!
  5. Can someone please tell me about the benefits of a Raw Food Diet and how you would properly make this diet up? I have always used a super premium kibble but have heard good things about a Raw diet and was after some guidelines on how to make up this diet? If there is a section on this already please feel free to move me along!
  6. This might be a really dumb question and I apologise if it is BUT I have used Virkon on everything - thoroughly saturated the entire yard and soil multiple times and will keep doing so for a while but is there someone - like a pest guy i guess?? - who can come out and measure if there is still Parvo in the ground?? Do people even do this?? might be a dumb question but i'd definately look into it if it was available
  7. I did have one of the pups from this litter - JeanBob or the gorgeous Diesel as we named him. I have sent you an email with the info I have found out. Hope Logan is still going strong. xxx
  8. yes the breeder has been fantastic, has covered all expenses and is giving a full refund - not that the money aspect was ever a concern to me. I would have paid ANYTHING to get him better
  9. Where can I buy Virkon from? I have asked at the petbarns shops and the produce shop and they dont have it.?? Provided I can get Virkon does anyone know the ratio for dilution or is it used straight?
  10. is trigene to put on the grass? what about the product Virkon?
  11. I will try anything price is not an issue. Where do you get the other products from?? I have spoken to the breeder also and it has come from their property, I think 7 pups (possibly more now) from the litter have all died from Parvo, its been terribly sad
  12. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I am only new here so I hope its ok. I recently purchased a pup from a breeder and 4 days after I got him home he showed symptoms of diarrhoea. He had been off his food for 1 day only but I put it down to all the running around he did and the fact it was 32'C. He was still drinking plenty of water and seemed alert and happy as well as slobbery!! That night the breeder sent me an email mentioning that 3 other pups in the litter also had tummy upsets so I called my vet who asked me to bring pup straight in which I did. Pup never came home. He was diagnoes with Parvovirus from a rectal swab and then spent the next 4 days valiantly hanging on. We tried everything possible to get him better but we just couldnt and he died. I was devastated. My question now is how do I disinfect (for want of a better word) my yard so that when I get a new pup the same thing doesnt happen? I have already bleached the inside of my house and the pavement areas outside (I have thrown out the dog bed, bowls toys and kennels as these things can be replaced) but what about the grass? Does anyone have any ideas?? I am more than happy to bleach the grass if this will work - I dont care if the lawn dies. If anyone has any information it would be much appreciated.
