We showed at Albury, on the weekend and come prepared with gumboots. I still dressed in a pants and skirt suit on all three days, but day 2 & 3 had my gummies on. I will be taking my Gumboots to Horsham and Hamilton too in the next few weeks. Hopefully i wont need to use them!

We went a couple of years ago and camped, i have never been so cold in all my life! I wore thermals all weekend and there was no mobile reception for vodafone and very little for telstra. How can one survive 48 hours without mobile phone and internet? LOL! Good luck everyone :-)

I can't remember what the grounds look like exactly so can some one tell me
is there enough room for 7 rings plus room to set up gazebos?
Or will we be squashed like sardines do you think?
Thanks.
BB
There isnt alot of room BB, some were outside the gate of the showgrounds onto the road last time i was there, but it was 30 degrees and nice weather, i have a feeling we are going to freeze and drown. best to get there early to get a good spot!

A well winning pup could have 200 by 12 months, but still needs 25 after turning 12 months to title.
Yep that has happened to me, a pup i have has 172 points, turns one year old tomorrow but still needs another 25 points to title.

Show starts around 9am I think and may be finished by 3pm so you should go for a sticky beak between those times.
Just look for a car park full of dog trailers adn gazebos.
Have a good day.

Does anyone know where I can find out more details on this show? Where it is etc?
I've never been to a show but I've been thinking about checking one out for awhile now. Shepparton is only 30 mins from me so seems like a good opportunity to check out some gorgeous dogs in action! Would this be a worthwhile show to go have a look at? Please excuse my show ignorance
The venue is at the Kialla Paceway, just a bit out of town. If its only 30 minutes away then it would be a good opportunity to have a browse.

Dogs Killing Sheep - Vic
in In The News
Posted
Quite true. WE have a neighbor who has roaming rottweilers who have mauled and killed their own sheep!, The rotties have never come across to our land, but they would be shot if they did. Now we have the same neighbor has a problem with his roaming pigs, up to 20 escaping into their paddocks and now going through electric fences and coming into our land. They have destroyed our vege garden, flower beds and have generally been making a nuisance of themselves digging up other areas of our place and making our dogs bark. After the ranger was called out and still the pigs were running riot, enough was enough and my mother called the neighbor to tell him that if she sees any pigs on our property, they will be shot. We havnt seen them for nearly two weeks now. :-)
As to using Maremas on sheep and cattle properties, They can be more of a nuisance than anything else to a large property owner. When your lambing and you have a problem with a ewe with a lamb stuck, you have to catch her in the paddock and who needs to be attacked by a marema whilst your trying to help a ewe pass her lamb? Same for a Marema working with your herding dogs. To much of a pain in the backside. Having worked on a large sheep and cattle property, we always baited for foxes and didnt have that much of a problem, there was more damage due to crows picking out the lambs eyes.
