  1. Lizzy suffers from allergies so I have decided to drop giving her biscuits for breakfast to see if this helps. Well it seems to but now I have the problem of what to feed her for breakfast. She has 250g raw meat (kangaroo, chicken necks, beef, tuna) with chopped veg for dinner. The odd treat during the week and usually carrot for hide and seek games. We don't have a great range of biscuits and I have tried "sensitive skin", all natural etc etc but nothing stopped her licking and scratching. Now I found chicken necks are irritating her! Not keen to try weetbix as there are cereals. Pleeeeease can someone help with ideas before I go bonkers :D :D
  2. i have just received a reply to an email I sent to Nature's Gift company: "our Biogestion 5 Dry Food. The Sucrose percentage is under 1% and is very minimal, this is why it is not registered on the panel on the side of the bag. All our products are made from human grade meat products and sourced from local produce. When you decide to change to our Nature’s Gift canned food, it is best to introduced it you your dog over a period of 2 weeks in small amounts mixed with the current food you are using slowly increasing it till the dog is fully eating Nature’s Gift canned food alone. We recommend this as our canned food does not contain any fillers and is a high protein product which may be a little heavy on the stomach if the dog has been used to another type of food." I will give the dry food a try and let people know the results.
  3. Was just wondering if anyone has fed their dogs Natures Gift Biogestion 5? It is suppose to be all natural but I noticed it has sucrose in it - not sure how much, and I thought sucrose (sugar) is not good for dogs as it makes them hyper.
  4. Hi, Do you feed your staffies once or twice a day? Do you give them dry food and if so which one? I feed Lizzy on dry in the morning and then raw for tea.
  5. Hi First time on forum but I have been looking for a good allergy sensitive dry dog food for my staffy LizzyBabe. I contacted Eagle Pack and Artemis and Eagle Pack sent me some samples to try first - still waiting on sample from Artemis and this was before Christmas I read on some American forum that Natural Choice was causing serious health problems even death in cats. Lizzy is on raw meat and vegetable diet as well - vegetables are chunky not minced. I will probably try Eagle Pack as she has had no problems with the samples - her allergy is grass I think It really is a case of reading all the ingredients - sucrose (sugar) is definitely a NO NO as it could make dogs hyper and as staffy owners know their babies are hyper enough Will keep reading with interest Jenny and Lizzy Babe
