  1. You can show the dog as long as the Export Pedigree, weigh bill etc is lodged correctly with the appropriate fee, with your Canine Assn. you do not have to wait until all the paperwork is returned to you. Cheers
  2. I have no numbers so will be queuing. I only live 10 minutes from the Secretary so would have expected my post to get here first. Thanks for the numbers TessnSean. Appreciated.
  3. I don't have numbers for Kilmore or Colac. Just checked my Cheque account and Colac chqs were presented 18th March and Kilmore a couple of weeks ago. At least I know I'm entered but very annoying. I'd be happy (well almost), for OzEntries to be available but after entering a show through there last week, the fees were so high. I entered 3 dog which would have cost me $39 plus $1.20 in stamps = $40.20 if I had sent them via the Postal Service but the Total was $45.17. The extra was made up of Online processing fee, CC Fee and GST. Will send manual entries in the future.
  4. I have one arriving in 2 weeks from the UK and used a UK shipping agent who has been fine. Email me if you are interested. [email protected] Another vote for wayrod
  5. Pop over to the Border Terrier Ring if you have time. I'll be there showing 2 of my home bred Aussie Border Terriers and my new Import, who is coming home to Aust after Crufts. Also doing the Discover Dogs stand for a couple of days and getting to see Specials. I am pretty excited too and haven't been to Crufts since the mid to late 90s. Have friends from all over he globe coming, so we can have a 'get together' - cannot wait to see my friends. Some I haven't seen for 15 years.
  6. Can only help with Terriers. BIG was a Qld competitor (Max Winch) with his Smooth (think it was a bitch) which I have just read went BIS2. *BP was Amy's Cairn *Minor I think was a Tentie (Paula's - I know she got something and sure it was Minor) *Puppy was the R/U BIG and was Justine Blythe from Tasmania *Junior & Int were Robyn Price with a smooth and Kimberley Azzopardi with a JR - just not sure now which was which. *AB was an Airedale I have never seen before *Open was BIG Cheers
  7. 10th is my birthday! :) Good luck with those. I have the NZ girl that has come here to be mated & whelp (sister to Macen - the father of Chino and Phoenix)and she is looking very in whelp to Axle (my Sup Ch). Due the 22nd November.
  8. I have been watching this for days and just have to ask ........ What did the $300 you paid get applied against. I had a girl arrive only weeks ago and I moaned because the invoice had gone up $9 to just over $90 for clearance etc. what did you have to pay for? I have my own girl coming home in a few weeks (been out in NZ getting her title) and I would be pretty annoyed at $300 when the airfare is already a complete ripoff.
  9. Long way and lot of money for someone who is not hugely involved in the Terrier Group with the exception of being a Secretary of a Staffy Club: Colette judges all breeds and Groups at international level. She was approved as an ALL BREEDS judge in November 2009. Colette was on The Judges Committee of The Irish Kennel Club for many years, and has now been elected as a Director. She and her husband have been involved with Show Dogs for nearly 40 years, they have owned Rottweilers, Schnauzers,Samoyeds,German Spitz, Bichon Frise, Yorkshire Terriers, and have had many Champions under the Windfall Prefix. Colette is Secretary of an All Breed Championship Show also secretary of The Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club. She is President of The German Spitz, Bichon Frise, Dogue De Bordeaux Clubs. and Chairman of The Yorkshire Terrier Club. She has judged in Australia. Breed (s) specialization: Spitz, Bichons and Yorkshire Terriers Countries judged in: Australia and most European Countries, Best in show at CACIB and All Breed Shows in 7 European Countries Other cynological activities and position: Member of Judges Committee IRISH KENNEL CLUB, President of Bichon Frise/German Spitz Club. Chairman of Yorkshire Terrier Cub. Secretary of All Ireland Bull Breeds Champion Show. Secretary of Irish Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club.
  10. will research this new Judge but reckon I will be staying home and gardening. What a huge pain in the you know where. Colette judges all breeds and Groups at international level. 11. They have removed the Judges from the ANKC Website so perhaps about to add 2 new ones to Mr G. O'Shea (Swe) who is the lonely sole judge at this stage. Please HURRY UP> I need to find out if I need a puppy sitter or not!
  12. Exactly! I'm still waiting to see who we get and depending on who it is whether to go or not, organise a new handler, etc or whether I just cancel everything including the leave I've booked in for work. I'm sitting here doing the same thing. The Canadian might be an option for 2 of my 4 entries but forget an Irish Judge. I was so excited and first time I had bothered with Adeliade Royal - not meant to be it seems.
  13. Haven't heard still, keeping watch on Dogs SA web site, but no announcements yet. This is ridiculous. Some people are waiting and need to cancel air tickets etc. Others will need to groom differently for their breeds. I've entered the wrong dogs if the new judges are not from Scandinavia. The whole thing is very disappointing and what I am most annoyed about, not one email from the Society to inform me of these changes - I had to find this thread on here. They want us to give them any scratchings in writing but the same consideration could have been given to us (via email) with regular updates for this situation.
  14. Well I have asked this very question to the VCA and also mentioned that it was on my old entry forms but has been removed from their new ones online. No comment has been forthcoming. I understood that this Rule would apply but there are so many people saying it is not so, I have asked for it to be clarified. I have been showing Interstate for almost 2 months so missed the outbreak but do not want it now with Royals coming up. Will the VCA make comment and state where everyone stands? I have told them I Quarantined all my dogs for 3 months, 2 years ago after picking up KC at the Park. Has something changed? Thanks for raising this, as people need to know what the Rule is and can act accordingly.
  15. With the current KC outbreak, it would be sensible to have all outside and I must say that many will hope that General Specials are outside too, for that very reason. One affected dog could do a lot of damage, inside a space filled with other canines.
  16. Thanks for letting us know - I was shocked to read this.
  17. BREED: Border Terrier DOG: GRAND CH BOHUNT PILLOW FIGHT AGE: 3 Years DATE: 6th July 2012 BREEDER/OWNER/HANDLER: Gaela Whyte (nee Tolley) Very proud Mum of our lovely boy who is as much a family pet as a show dog. Was a nice day for everyone associated with him and his success in his 3 short years to date.
  18. The best, and it is safe - is Handy Andy (in the Pink bottle). Put a good squirt in a bowl of hot water - soak for a bit and then light scrub with tooth brush and rinse. I boarded many years ago with a Jeweller and his wife and they recommended this for jewellery cleaning as well and I still use it today. Great stuff.
  19. Old English was Minor in Show Dacchie was Puppy As I was leaving, I saw a chap with a big ribbon and he had a Doberman on the end of his lead - perhaps Junior or Intermediate but not sure. Group 2 BIG & BIS & Open Marsh's Staffy Beat r/u & also Open - Ken Campbell and Kiwi the Smooth FT Baby was a Staffy (Beat son - Sue's) Minor was a JR - one that Hilary's daughter showed Puppy was Border terrier - my Phoenix Aust Bred was Jill McDonalds Scottie Saw a Skye getting ready for In Show so that was perhaps Junior or Inetrmediate. Missing one somewhere. :)
  20. I bought the very same thing a few weeks ago at the Robertson A&P Show - apparently the vendor there is well supported by Victorians for these. If you contact the Show Sec - Sue Causer, she will know who the vendor is. The range was fabulous and I had never seen them like this before. Lots of tasteful bling for everyday showing.
  21. Thanks for the link - I was trying last night to find one. I judged the NZ final and put Kirsty Hubbard through so thrilled she also made the top 10.
  22. I also was impressed with the show and the organisation but doing very well at it helps a lot! Thrilled to come home with a BIG, r/u BIG, 2 AustB of G, Puppy of G and Aust Bred in Show. :) One of those memorable days and under Terrier Specialists I regularly compete against - I was thrilled. I am very grateful for the prizes - yes NONE other than $!!! This is my petrol money for next weekend and sits nicely in my purse - all $145! I am very weary of electrical appliances etc and money is really what people want and need. I also forgot my purse so the winnings came in handy. Thanks again to the Committee.
  23. My boy Axle was invited but I had already decided to have a dog free day and spend it with my extremely generous, dog show tolerant, husband! Yes, it would be nice to represent the breed but I saw it as just another show. I may have considered it if they had announced the judges - pointless with a Border Terrier if the judges have no association with Terriers or empathy for the breed. If we want a night out we will do something we both enjoy not just me.
