  4. We had a visit in our store a month or so ago from a couple who had one of these with them. The dog was adorable and so friendly, he was the first one i had ever seen and I fell in love with the breed.
  5. Please check ( on this site ) or even google about this warning. I believe you will find this product is not sold in Australia.
  6. We currently pay $118 per month for 3 Dogs through RSPCA -Pet sure. ( I think it is under written by Allianz ) We have the 80% Level and Buster has used it the most 2x Snake bites 5 days apart, first bill was $1200.00 ( got 80% back ) second was $2600.00 only got about $1200 back ( From memory ) due to reaching a limit on certain charges. I would like to find an Insurance that covered better, perhaps one with an excess but a higher limit.

  8. Poor Shadow has just Leaked all over OH's Chair and on the floor it's the worst it's been. I have made her a 'Makeshift' Nappy from a nice soft blanket and she is sitting very still on her bed, i think she knows why she has this uncomfortable bit of material wrapped around her She is so good. I Can't believe the coinsidence in this topic coming up and this occuring for Shadow again, is it seasonal as in Summer? Please note like i mentioned before she was Spayed at 6 Months, we thought we were doing the right thing.
  9. Shadow our Labrador was Spayed at 6 Months and started having the problem at nearly 5 years of age, it didn't last long so the Vet said to wait. But it has just started to happen again so we will be going back to the vet to see how we can help her.

  11. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...c=208221&hl= Hope this works this was the thread i started after the first Snake got past the repeller!
  12. Don't waste your Money on the 'Snake Repellers' I put 10 around my house last year after Buster had been bitten twice in 5 days by a Brown. We placed them closer than was suggested due to our fear. This year we have caught two Browns in netting, one around the dog run approx 3 metres from a working 'Snake Repeller' i have a picture etc on this forum. Then about 6 weeks ago the dogs were barking like crazy around the hot water service, so i suggested to my Husband to put netting around the base of the Hot water service, we came home to find another Brown caught in the netting, this is approx 2 metres from the Gate to the Dog Run. and the snake would have come past at least three working 'Snake Repellers' We get Red Belly Blacks and Browns here, i have not seen a red belly black this year so maybe they deter them, but we will only use the netting.( and still have the usless repellers in the ground ) I check the netting several times a day and have only caught one Mouse and One willy Wagtail in it in over a year, the Willy Wagtail was removed succesfully. Some people say it is cruel, to capture the snakes in it, but if the snake has got caught in netting around an area my dogs reside wilst iam not home i have saved my Dogs, because if the snake could get in the Area then i would have a Dead Snake and most likely a Dog or Three bitten as has previously happened. I did e-mail the company about guarantees but have heard nothing, i also had the 'Snake Repellers' on my website, but they were removed as soon as i realaised they were a waste of Money. Thank-fully i had not sold any. You can purchase the netting from Bunnings it is in a roll and white, i believe so it is more easily seen by birds, which i would say is correct as we have a lot of Bird life more so around the Dog Area as they stir the dogs up and only had one Bird get tangled, it is a good price also. We use cable ties, pegs what ever is suitable for the area we are putting it, make sure you have a bunch at the bottom as well. We had it go about 400mm high around fences etc. Please note the brand of 'Snake repellers' i have are Sentinel, they are expensive for what they are ( as there is nothing at all to them ).
  13. Shadow - Labrador approx 3cm back is 7.5cm wide and 29cm around. PS she is not a big lab weighs approx 32kg Hope this helps The other two are JRT x's - pointy noses sid you need those?
  14. My husband has set up a camera so i can watch my fur kids whilst iam at work, i think the camera only starts to recored once it senses movement. It is wireless and all i know is we needed a 'Static IP address' for the recording, i have a Internet Explorer address i type in and i can see my dogs. Its cool, it also works on the iphones We did used to have one inside their kennel in the run but Charli used to lick the red light so all we seen was pink tongue
  15. When Elbie was very wee, we used Vitamin D. I did a post here so you can see what kind of footage we got. It just detects movement so you don't end up with oodles and oodles of empty video of nothing. We use the free version so have no sound and can just use one camera, but if you buy the software, you can have sound and also use more than one camera. I believe that there's also the option of having videos/alerts sent to you by phone. when he was very young always makes me laugh because if we had got home just 5 minutes earlier, we could have saved that dog cushion! loved it great footage
  16. I have an e-mail reply from Joe Helper Re the 28 day rule sent today at 4pm Did anyone else get an e-mail reply from him?
  17. When i looked at the link Dee al had for the council there was a JRT in there under information it stated the dog was Microchipped. My question is - Do all Councils Pounds / Rescue's contact people when a dog is microchipped ( or even Registered and weraring a tag )or do they simply wait until an owner actually comes looking for the dog. Or would it be the poor little JRT's Microchip details are not current or the owners have ignored him/her.
  18. I hope she finds her owner. She's a lovely looking little dog.
  19. Thank-you for sharing this fabulous clip, I loved it
