  1. Here is a photo in which I always notice variation in textures. It might be harder to notice in this compressed version, but when I look at it I really notice his soft puppy fur, glassy eyes and defined whiskers, gritty sand and smooth stones.
  2. My puppy goes a bit silly sometimes pulling when we go for walks because he is so excited, until he calms down. I have a puppia harness and it's great because it doesnt pull around his neck and choke him.
  3. I want to get one that says 'Beware of the pug' or similar, haha.
  4. That's no good. Makes me hesitant to take my doggy to the dog park, social events etc.
  5. Thankyou so much rose of tralee, that is an amazing help!
  6. There certainly are ticks, especially around bushy areas! My parents Maltese picked up 3 at once, luckily got him to the vet early and made a full recovery. So yes, precautions and checking are essential
  7. Best wishes to the little guy, so glad he is on the road to recovery. Even short a leg he will still be just as gorgeous and surely with a personality that matches.
  8. Congratulations to everyone taking action. I certainly would if I saw such a horrible scenario. The idea about ACA/TT is really interesting, it would be wonderful because it would raise the issues to the public so more people will be noticing, asking questions and reporting.
  9. My pup just loves RMBs. He is a 9 month old pug. Being a pug, he is a real guts. Chicken necks he scoffs down with little chewing, meaty beef bones he chews on for ages, but he thinks that he is supposed to eat the actual bone. To minimize danger, should I be looking for bigger bones that he cant swallow, or is eating smaller raw bones not so bad? Often, he tries to swallow a too-large chunk of muscle, fat etc and it makes him gag and throw up everything again. The vet nurse just said "Oh well, he will learn eventually". Im worried he might choke himself. I really like raw feeding but am new to it so all this information you guys are posting is so helpful!
  10. Anyone know of anywhere around Mackay, Qld? I found the Shakespeare Street butcher has good meaty beef bones, but that's about it.
  11. I saw a notice about an outbreak here in Mackay, Qld too.
  12. We bought a purebred puppy from a victorian registered breeder and she didnt send the papers, she said she didnt want them to go missing on the way (im in Qld) so she would send them by post. Its now been about 4 months. We have called and left messages and she hasnt responded. What do I do? Thanks so much for any help!
