  1. Show stackers here!!! I just think they are brilliant. Lots of people may disagree but if used properly they can be a marvellous tool, I wouldn't survive without mine, mind you I must pull mine out again my dogs are doing a very similar thing sitting down when the judge has asked for an out and back or triangle and then when I come back to the judge they sit even tho they haven't really ever been taught to sit :D
  2. Good idea Megz...I will try and get there god knows my dogs and I both need it
  3. You can buy them from spotlight in the beading section. I am not sure what they are called but they do come in different lengths. The ones I have used also have a round ring on the end which you just cut off with scissors and on the other end is the pointy bit which sticks into the paracord. I hope this has helped you
  4. OMG how gorgeous are those armbands, I think I must have 1 or 2 of them!!!

She does the braided cord leads of all sizes with bling and like I said they are amazing looking and very affordable!!!

  8. Ok I want to bling up my leads a bit and want to know where to get some "Bling" snap hooks. Any size is fine. Also I am looking for another place to get my rings from. It doesn't matter whether they are from overseas or local. I am almost pulling my hair out trying to find some. Please help
  9. I would still rather feed my dogs all of that than wheat or rice or sorghum which is a cause for itchy skin!!! JMO!!!
  10. Hi Bianca We also have a 4 month old Bullmastiff. When we got him he was being fed on Black hawk Holistic (I think that is what it is called) but we live up here in Darwin and although we have vets and pet shops none of them stock it So we decided to put him on something that we know we could get all the time and something that was not too expensive as well. We feed him on Supercoat for Large breed (also our breeder's recommendation!!) We give him minced chicken carcus from Leonards chicken and we also give him Frozen Turkey necks which you can get from Woolworths where they keep the chicken necks. He loves them and will sit for ages just knawing on it which is good for his teeth and gums as well. His poos are very healthy. We have done alot of research on different kibbles and you must check the ingredients. If the first ingredient is a meat or meat by-product then it is a good one if it is a wheat or some sort of rice or sorghum don't bother. This could also be where his itchy belly is coming from. Our boy who is definately healthy looking is doing just fine and is not costing us a fortune to feed. I also have Cavaliers and used to feed them on Royal Canin and to be honest I don't think it is just that great. I have changed their diet to Optimum kibble and chicken necks and their coats don't look any different to being fed on a "Premium" kibble. In my opinion you are only paying for the name!!! The odd tin of sardines in oil (just the homebrand ones from Woolies is good) is also good for their coat it keeps them nice and glossy. Hope this helps. By the way if you don't mind me asking where did your Bullmastiff come from? Cheers
  11. Yes I agree. They should definately be named and shamed to the whole world!!! We brought a Dogue De Boardeaux from what we thought was a reputable breeder, she has a flash website and all the bells and whistles, she told us that we had to make a decision quickly as she had other buyers interested in him, that there should have been enough for us to say no thank you, but being quite new to all of it we just thought ok she is giving us first preference!!! He looked lovely when he arrived and for the first 2 or 3 months after he was fine but then one after another started happening which we had researched before and knew that these things "may" go wrong with this particular breed. I reckon everything that this breed could develop our "Max" did. He suffered skin disorders, some kind of blood disorder which causes his left front leg to swell so badly so quickly after a small knock to it that the skin burst open on a friday night that we had to rush him to the vets. We contacted the breeder several times by phone and email and never did she respond to us. She was quite happy to hear his "show progress" but when it came time to hear of his "other" progress she didn't want to know, all we wanted was some advice from a person that we put our trust and faith into thinking that she knew the breed well enough. Anyway after 2 years of battling every illness known to this breed and not to mention thousands of dollars later we had to make the very difficult and sad decision to put him to sleep We decided that he had suffered enough and we didn't want him to be put through anymore agony. All the money in the world would never have fixed him and that was the words from our vet and she is a vet who will try anything and everything before she will put a dog to sleep. We had him cremated and he is now at peace and rest with us at home. I contaceted the breeder to give her the bad news and also to tell her exactly what I thought of her and believe me I wasn't very nice. She responded almost immediately blaming us for his death!!!! WTF!!! I don't really understand how it was our fault She said that if we had of seen a "large breed" specialist vet then we wouldn't have had the trouble we did?? We live in Darwin and had seen a vet that had large breed knowledge and it didn't make any difference. I was so frustated and angry that she could put it back onto us for his death. She has no right in calling herself a breeder. In our eyes she is nothing but a puppy farmer and that is exactly what I told her, needless to say she didn't contact us back after that. She had a guestbook set up on her website and after reading some of the posts from various people who had purchased dogs from her that had similar problems as we did, she deleted the guestbook, how surprising!!! If anything this has made us so much more savvy and wary and a very sad thing not very trustworthy!!! I have just finished reading a book called "Saving Gracie" it is about puppy mills in the USA and is just so sad and distressing to think that all these nasty things are still going on. It really made me think about what I could do to try a change things. It really makes you look at your own dogs as they are snoozing on the couch or the bed and want to give them a big hug and kiss to make them realise how lucky they are. Some of the things that happen to these poor "puppy mill" dogs are horrendous and the owners of these places should have the same done to them!!! A little harsh I know but it just makes me very mad and sick to the stomach. Anyway that is my story and I congratulate this lady for standing up to the byber and perhaps that is what needs to happen in the future.

  17. :D :D :D New big footed baby!! Yes his debut is this weekend!!! Something for James to show he gets bored watching me run around the ring with the Cav's!!! He is looking a little ugly at the moment as he is going through the uglies he has really long legs at the moment and his body is definately not in proportion with anything, but we will see how he goes!!!
  18. Bad luck Mel. Thats what happened to Harvey. I didn't show him after 6 months old I just didn't see the point and didn't want to be nil awarded. I waited until Harvey was about 13 months old and it was evident that it was never coming down so had him desexed. When the vet desexed him she said it was so far up in his stomach there was never a hope in hell that it was ever down to start with, although the breeders told me that at 6 weeks old he had 2 testes descended!!! I am now just so anal about testes :D :D Our new baby Bullmastiff when he flew up that was the first thing I checked He is now 3 months old and definately has 2 testes. I would hold onto him and wait and see but if you are like me by then I was so attached to Harvey I couldn't rehome him so he stayed!! Do what you think is best!!
