  1. This pretty much. My Daisy has got a 6 foot long tongue, can get you from across the room!! Well, that's how it seems.
  2. My dog tries to attack dogs who hump her. We've had her attacted to some moron's pig dog's face once.
  3. I couldn't find anyone decent when I was looking for my girl before we moved. There's Bark Busters. And some guy doing Bowen Therapy.
  4. My girl was meant to be a pedigree blue heeler, but I saw an ad on a noticeboard that someone had found a bitch who had had puppies at their place. I called them and they said she'd gone home and gave me that number. I went to check it out, purely for the puppy smooches, and fell in love with a little girl with mismatched eyes who was wrestling her siblings over who was going to chew on the crocodile tail next. She came home with us and it's been total love ever since. She's cheeky and naughty but she's mine
  5. I just scrapbook my puppy pics into my 'Life' album, but could easily do her own album...
  6. You can get shrink sheets of eBay and make your own
  7. With all due respect, whilst the injury risk can be greater with a bigger dog, the little Maltese dogs or 'SWF' are still capable of causing injury. What happens if a 'small breed' bites an elderly person with fragile skin? or rushes at an elderly person causing them to trip? a friends grandmother ended up in hospital from a fall caused by a neighbours loose Maltese...the dog took this lady by surprise and she lost her footing. Exactly. My grandmother had all the skin on her leg ripped of by the claws of her Chi X.
  8. The only 'pitbull' attacks I know of in the NT are pig dogs, which are always mongrels of many different breeds.

  10. It's so horrific that this happens Poor little girl
  11. RPSCA man said she was very skinny, doesn't look like she's been fed for awhile and he suspects she's been living off grass poor baby :(
  12. Hurray! Puppy has been taken by RSPCA!
  13. My father has tried the police. He's tried the council. We've been ringing people all morning. GayleK, who should i get? My disabled father? The elderly neighbours?
  14. That's not fair on me. I literally can't get over the fence myself. None of them. On my way out to town earlier I stopped to see if I could.
  15. Basically everyone who lives around this guy (myself included) is reluctant to get more personally involved, he's a very nasty piece of work and has his spies in the street.
  16. We called the council this morning as well, they said they can't enter the yard at all. only RSPCA or Police can. My neighbour tried to go untangle her but said she acted aggressively toward her. I imagine she's just a very scared little girl.
  17. I have a foot sitter, she also sleeps pressed up against me in bed at night or leans on me during a walk or if i'm in the kitchen. She'll also hold hands with me. She just loves the touch.
  18. We live diagonally from a man who beats his dog. The man only has one leg and bashes it with his crutches. So we called the RSPCA. They weren't interested as we didn't have evidence. The man vanished (gossip is either rehab or gaol) a few weeks ago and left the poor thing tied to the clothesline. In -1+ degree nights with no shelter. We didn't know this until we looked over the fence after a week of howling and crying. Called the RSPCA and got someone out the next day (called sunday) who moved the dog and made it some shelter. It still cried, we worked out that there's nobody living there at all. Today we looked over the fence again (6 foot fence) but where it's been moved to means we can't see it. But our next door neighbour can look through a hole in her fence and saw the poor thing is totally tangled up; can't move, sit or lie down, can't reach it's water and doesn't appear to even have a food bowl. We both called the RSPCA, apparently there were already 2 other reports made about the dog today but they didn't consider it urgent. My neighbour told them it looked like the dog could choke and suddenly it's an urgent report. I just can't believe they didn't confiscate her already. Makes me so so mad. /rant
  19. My BC X Staffy hates hates hates having accidents, on the very rare occasion she has an accident she is always so ashamed.
  20. My girl is allergic to grass, and our boy is allergic to fleas and wheat.
  21. ...and that's the thing ;) I'm glad she is with you to help. Sometimes I'd really like to, she's so good for anxiety
  22. I call my dog a therapy dog. Purely because she's saved my life from suicide on a few occasions. She's helped with my depression in ways no meds or doctor can. But I don't try and take her everywhere...
