  2. huge sigh of relief........ thanks everyone for your reply's has put my mind at ease, im going to miss my boy terribly.... I think he is going to be fine and I will spend the time worrying bout him hehe
  3. Hi all Havent been on here to ask a question for a while, my question is this, at the end of january my family and I are away for 9 - 10 days unfortunately we cant take the dog with us, so I have found what I believe to be a good boarding kennel for him to stay in...... for those who don't know me Marley is a 8 and half month old staffy x, he will be nine months old by the time he is in the kennel.... my concern is this, might be a slightly silly question, but up to 10days seems like a long time for a dog, I am slightly concerned he will forget us..... what are the chances he might forget us??
  4. Well i started that topic an i hadnt read it for a lil while.... Came on today an its gone.... Hope it didnt upsett anyone
  5. Thanks for the replies.... I'm going to buy myself a clicker an start some research an give it a go...... :-D
  6. My dog is 7months old.... Is it to late to start?
  7. I have a couple of questions in regards to clicker training...... The fact is (an this might be really blonde of me) i dont really understand the concept... From what i know of it you get the dog to do what you want, when it does it you click than treat... So the training i have been doing is get him to do what i want then he gets a treat an a "good boy" i guess what i'm asking is whats the point of the click?? And is it better than what i am already doing? An if it is better is it to late to start?
  8. are u walking him in your property? coz at 10 weeks he wouldn't have had all vaccinations, therefore wouldn't be walking him anywhere
  9. I am no dog expert, and have been here for my own problems with my dog....... but surely blind freddy can see what that dog is up to..... my heart sank when I saw that, even from the first picture you can see that, then they just get worse...... scary!
  10. Just wanted to say KTB YAY!!! u just said pretty much everything i have been thinking for ages probably put together alot better than me :-) so go you! Well said ETA: I have really only ever owned cross bred dogs, personally i hate the fact that they are seen as lower class to pure bred dogs.... My cross bred dogs have always been healthy and fit, an not cost me as much as my dads purebred in vet bills
  11. Called the vet the day after it happened they said if he seems reasonably ok in himself just keep an eye on him an to take him in if anything changed....... Pleased to report it hasnt happened again and he is pretty much back to his normal self apart from cone head an stitches hehe..... Thanks for advise
  12. Tokkie ABSOLUTELY! LOVE! the pic of nandi sitting like a meerkat at 8 weeks.... Look at the lil pink belly thats adorable!!
  13. Dont know how long you should wait but marley still had a baby canine anf his adult tooth nut on friday when he went in to be desexed they pulled it, vet said it prob wouldnt have come out on its own that the root was bigger than the tooth...... May not be the same for your puppy tho, butigjt be worth a visit to the vet to ask..... Hopefully someone who knows more will come along to help you soon :-)
  14. Just wondering if i should be worried or not.... Marley had his op to be desexed on friday arvo, an still has "cone" on as he wont leave it alone.... Tonight he went for a wee in my kitchen he hasnt had an accident inside since early august, is it some sort of side effect to the op? If so does anyone know why? Or should i be worried something else is going on?? Marley is 6months old
  15. cant figure out how to get them all in the same post.... this one is marley about 4 months about 5 months Marley on Friday, after his visit to the vet
