  1. Yeah I just saw this but turned it off halfway because I was so disgusted. 3 billion dollars is gambled on greyhound racing in Aus per year. When there's that much money going around in one part of a very large industry you're going to have people doing anything to win to get a bigger share of the cake. Don't think it stops with greyhounds, horseracing has also come under the spotlight for the same types of allegations in the past. Allegations which unfortunately have proved to be true.
  2. Dogo Aregentino's (DA) are popular in Europe and South America. When I was in Europe about 10 years ago I noticed that they are a massive breed and should be handled by experienced owners only. But that goes for a lot of breeds. Wobbly - I know you have already addressed this but I am surprised you met the dog at its level, especially a DA. I never would advise this. These dogs are common in Spain and Italy and are found on country / rural properties such as farms and don't warm up to any stranger in a hurry. I doubt of many in AUS and NZ, (I have never seen one of these or Presa Canario in Aus) as they are usually American Bulldogs, misjudged as DA. Still, a very striking and confident breed. No mucking around there.
  3. Prevention is better than cure. If you use it regularly you wont have that problem. I give it to an adult rotty once every 1.5 months and i haven't seen a flea since he was a pup. And i take him for walks everyday and he plays with other dogs.
  4. This is quite sad, however one must always remember laws are man made, and that means they are not perfect! Many dogs will come close to looking like an APBT yet are not APBT's at all. These laws do harm the innocent.
  5. Id definetly keep a close watch over any interaction with your child. Keep the intordutions brief yet positive with lots of praise, but dont force it. Again this only advice i'd seek a pro dog trainer's services on this matter. Good luck!
