    Columbus

What a gorgeous Chap. So sorry for your loss Rozzie, as J said, whatever time we have them for, it never is nearly enough. RIP Columbus
  2. I felt sick when i read this story. That poor little dog I dont understand why you would leave a small dog chained up at night outside, for whatever reason. RIP little one

  5. Yes , saw that online. Poor Colonel - hoping he is realsed without harm.
  6. That really is very sweet Nothing like waking up with a paw in your face !!
  7. Disgusting No other word for it. And to think, she is a principal responsible for overseeing the education of young minds...

    Tango

Powerlegs that photo just broke my heart - what a gorgeous little soul. I can only imagine, yet feel, your pain. Rest easy now Tango
  9. That was lovely - thanks for sharing Agree Persephone - the Philip Glass music is lovely, as is all of his work !!
  10. Saw this on the news this morning - one very happy dog and owner So lovely to see these stories out of such an horrific event
  11. Very emotional episode - especially as it is a story that all on DOL followed so closely at the time. I had told my OH about the terrible fire and of Jed's truly brave and miraculous recovery, and he too watched the show last night and was touched by the story. Jed - your heroism at the time was amazing, but understandable due to the strong bond you have with your dogs. One of the things i and my OH commented on was the beautiful condition they were all in, and their friendly disposition, despite the trauma they had been through - a real credit to you. Recovering from burns is a long and hard road... I wish you all the very best for a continued recovery. You so deserve a long, healthy and happy life. :)
  12. What a horrible story Poor Sally looks quite traumatised in that photos - healing vibes to her.
  13. Such sad news - his owner must be devastated. RIP dear Koko You will be remembered by so many .
  14. Saw this on the news last night and it left me feeling sickened. The poor man still looked a little shaken , and I am sure the dog would have experienced shock. You would think that a 50 year old would know better - a fine example this ' man' is setting for perhaps a younger family ( ie grandkids etc ). It was reported on the news that after being twirled by his lead, the little dog ended up in the canal and was rescued from the drain . Very luck little fluffer. Healing vibes to both the old man and Buttons ( the little dog )
  15. Very , very sad indeed What a horrendous way for that little 14 year old dog to end its life . The poor lady and other dog must still be traumatised. Rip little shih tzu and healing vibes to the owner and other little dog.
  16. Saw this on the news this morning - truly heartbreaking. We have a little ( 3kgs ) maltese and keep her on lead - out biggest fear is this sort of thing happening. We don't tend to see too many unleashed dogs in our area , but are always keeping an eye out. Sending healing vibes to this lady - she must be beyond devastated and still in shock. Run free little dog
  17. This story makes me so angry A disgraceful 'human being '
  18. This is such a heart warming story and the little dog had such a smile on his face as he was running along ... a sense of freedom . Apparently one of the riders is sending by air back to Wuhan as digs are not permitted to travel by train. Hoping they both have a long and happy life together
  19. What a devastating and traumatic thing for that poor lady and little Rolly. RIP Rolly

    Gillie

I am so very sorry Gillbear Losing a heart dog is the hardest. RIP Gillie - you are one special and loved dog for always
  21. A few to add to the list..... "The Medusa "in Darlinghurst, Sydney also allows pets to stay ,as does " The Hughenden " in Woollahra , opposite Centennial Park. If you want a country escape , "Lilianfels" in the Blue Mountains ( Katoomba ) allows dogs - complete with pet menu etc..... In Melbourne " The Albany " in South Yarra allows pets - right opposite Fawkner Park , so great location !
  22. Saw this sad story on the news last night - he is such a cute little old man . I simply do not understand what would go through a 'person's' head to just dump him His new owner seems to dote on him - hopefully he will live out his years surrounded by lots of love and cuddles
  23. So very sorry to hear of Ollie's passing He was a courageous lad who fought the good fight - helped along by your strength and love RIP brave boy
