There will be heaps of collies there so ill be in collie heaven lol Minxy great news about getting you OH parents dog, what nice neighbours how can they do that, we have awful neighbours behind us but at the end of the day what can you do unless you move and im hoping to do that next year sometime. Some people just have to be pains in the asses.

  8. Thats the problem with getting an interstate pup your pretty much relying on pictures and thats it. There are afew breeders of collies in qld but wheather or not they are planning litters i dont know. I can get an interstate pup but id rather stick to getting one in brisbane where i can meet the parents and see the puppy for myself.
  9. Minxy How long have you been looking for a puppy? I didnt realize they where so hard to find in Qld. I hope you get one at the end of the year. Ive looked at afew breeds but ended up picking the collie because it had the most i wanted in a doggy. I love the look of the tri colour so beautiful.
  10. A tri colour rough. As long as everything turns out ok.
  11. Hi everyone at least some of you guys only have to wait afew weeks mine havent even been mated yet! We are getting a collie and if all goes well wont have a pup till early next year. Cute pics of all the puppies though.
  12. Thanks i ended up getting the pup head doggy dunny and yes ive had it for aweek and its great! I had only just set it up and Louie went straight on it, he still has afew accidents but generally he has been using it. Sammie82 i will get some Biozet and use that, i was wondering what the best product was to clean it as the instructions said dont use any harsh detergents.
  13. Hi mumof 3 i have just got the Puphead doggy dunny which has this special smell in the grass section of it. Im waiting to receive it, hopefully it does help with toilet training.
  14. LDR i was thinking of getting one of these, i hope it works just as well for us!
  15. Thanks ill have a look at that thread. This one is very low to the ground so they dont have to step up onto anything and it comes in three sizes mini, medium and a large size. Ive read some reviews on it and it seems be be a really good product that actually works but knowing my luck it wont lol I see the trouble your having with having alot of little ones, maybe buying two of the bigger sizes but as you said they arent cheap.
  16. Any one ever used this product? How did your dogs take to it, is it easy to clean etc Thanks
  17. Hi was just wondering if anyone had ever used these systems before.
  18. Looking for information on basset hounds, thanks
  19. Tess32 they sound like a lovely breed. My OH likes them as well so we are leading towards them. Im going to go and meet a lady at one of local shows on sunday so will see what i think.
  20. Vernie how exciting for u, do you have other dogs, how does he get along with them if you do? I cant wait to get ours once ive decided that is lol
  21. Thanks everyone, its a hard decision to make with so many breeds out there! Aussielover i will look into the rescues i didnt mind getting an older dog.
  22. Thanks I have done some reading on all the breeds ive mentioned and they all have what im looking for. I just wanted to hear from people who own them and there experiences with them. Poodlefan my main concern is a dog that will be good around children and not bositerous. Im quite happy to give daily walks and brush everyday and if its a cocker to get professional trims. Im happy to go to puppy school and training though it will be my first time doing either of those things!
  23. Hi we are looking at getting a puppy or older pup to join our family. My children are 18mths and 6 years old. We have a medium sized yard and want an indoor dog. Im not to fussed on coat type. I have been thinking a rough collie, cocker spaniel or a cavalier. Any one have these breeds that can tell me about them. Thanks.
