  1. How did I know he would get off with a blsht fine and a ban. How the hell would they know if he got a dog again? And this scumbag can now walk around with a smile on his face to say he got away with it. What message does that send to the other idiots out there doing the same thing?

I am so sick of this we may as well start letting murderers off as well with a $50 000 fine for someones soul, and hold a street parade for them in the process.

  2. Hi All,

Want to know if anyone has gotten their house sprayed for pests with dogs? I've heard there are ones that are safe for dogs but I'm still sceptical, already had the pleasure of huntsmans and roachies in the house (sorry cannot stand them :rainbowbridge: )

Just want to be sure it's all good, otherwise I'll just deal with it and get the old jar and piece of paper out

  3. I believe some puppy schools are great. Just finished mine and no problems they knew everything about behaviour yes we did have socialisation but they were quick to stop certain behaviours by understanding whats going on. 1 pup was so afraid to mingle and after the last class, she had a ball it was amazing to see the transformation if you do things properly.

Then again all the pups were great, did the normal play and not over the top.

I never thought puppy school at the vets was going to be as professional as the one I went to but that's me. I'm sure there would be good ones out there..

  4. I do love Cesar, agree with most methods but yes I don't really feel comfortable with the "dominance" part of it. I wouldn't have known as much about need for exercise etc if I didn't watch his show.

I see him as a great person doing a lot for pitballs and all the other breeds people might consider dangerous. I see his dogs and no way believe they are unhappy. He travels all the time and you know I wouldn't have known about puppy farms/millsif it wasn't for Cesar! Besides doing normal consultations, he does a lot on puppy farms, pounds, helping rescues, top 10 voted dangerous dogs (which he shows its not about the breed). I take my hat off to him.

Sure people might think his bad and don't believe his methods, but he is a damn good person in my eyes and really cares about the community.

    Nose Eyes Ears

  5. Same thing happened with my pup at 10 weeks, ended up being a growth issue in legs due to diet when born etc and they told me she needs surgery and see the specialist for consult at $200 or so. I was devestated and so upset I only had her like 2 days.

Went for another opinion said it was normal, seen it before and will grow out of it, which she has! no problems at all. Scary thing is starting to believe them. And that was just looking at her [no xrays or nothing. It's hard to trust vets now because of crap like this.

Now I will always get other opinions

  6. yes sheep ears Tahli doesn't take long to get through but I feel a bit healthier.

Going to try some cow and venison then but she looooooooooves pig ears.

I heard the same thing pig ears high in fat should only be given maybe 1-2 times a week (that's what I was told so let me know if wrong)

  7. We take pup to a park a block away, several people meet there every morning and they have a good run together, fenced up and is controlled. I prefer to meet with people I know and dogs I know and let them have a good time rather than risk a dog park. Feel so much more relaxed.

  8. :p Tahli does that too to her bed because theres a pillow insert thing so she digs underneath for a bit then plonks down, but half on the bed half off now.

I thought the same thing, she was going to destroy the bed but just does it ever so gently. She will even take her bed elsewhere if she wants then sleeps in it he he

  9. Yes the "dirt" movement part of it is the funny part. I have noticed at times she forgets where she's put it. Hoping theres no chicken wing or something somewhere to be found later :p

I haven't noticed her do it much outside though.

Very interesting though, never saw my other pups do it thats why was curious

  10. So last night I noticed Tahli has been starting to hide her food. :(

Firstly, the sheeps ear she tucked in between the lounge cushions and then pretending to cover it up with dirt ? I think so I'm not sure we just had this weird look on our faces trying to work out what she was doing. Then in the study I have a suitcase against the wall, she had hid a half eaten one from the day before behind it so she got that out and moved it again behind the door.

This is just bizarre, I never noticed these things before but at the same time it's just so funny to watch. She isn't aggressive with food or anything at all I'm just assuming this is normal? :grouphug:

  11. I know the councils will 'probably' do something I was told I had to record for a week what times and how long it barked for but it has to be excessive barking(I'm talking 2 or more hours straight).
