  1. Rocky wasn't incarcerated because of the dog attack. Rocky pleaded guilty to aggravated burlary & steal for rescuing his dog. The gaol time was imposed because he refused to reveal the whereabouts of the dog. Then, miraculously, an anon tip sent authorities to a place where they took an Akita into custody. It was only an alert veterinarian that reconised the ''new'' Akita wasn't the Akita in question. A different vet & the wrong dog is nuked, Rocky is home free, & so is his dog. Very ordinay Rocky, very ordinary indeed.
  2. a little off topic, but how about. For sail, 4 birth dog trailor.
  3. The owner was present Dougie. Your constant assertion that such a dog could NOT be an SBT is the kind of head in the sand ignorance that has seen some pretty unlikely breeds climb into the bite statistics AND that plays right into the hands of the BSL proponents. ANY dog, given the right genetics, envrionment and trigger can represent a threat to people. Acknowledge that and we'll all be a lot safer. I do say ''pure breed SBT'' KC registered? Although even that isn't a given in the UK anymore. However, The owner took off . To avoid scrutiny perhaps? Why was ''the owner'' at the school? I would have thought to pick up her kid? That's logical? yes? If that is the case, surely someone would know her? So how did she just come to walk/run away without any repercussions. On the contrary, it is not ''head in the sand' having the temerity to ask for some confirmation of breed, it sensible. The reason breeds will be added to ''the list'' is because gullible people, like you, who aren't in the firing & like to act like they know everything, who take as gospel, anything they are told by people with an agenda of duplicity & concealment.. The bottom line is. Show me the dog, if its a Stafford I will ID it as such, no problem. We don't wont those poor examples destroyng our breeds hard won reputation. Just as we don't want xbreeds & pitties doing it either So, in the mean time, it isn't. There is post above by a female stating she pulled a SBT out of dog fight without much effort, yet there is grown male in this story saying he could barely manage it. SBT? Show me the money. BTW, to those obviously somewhat befuddled sniper type persons. I have stated previously every SBT owner who knows what they are talking about will admit SBTs can be dog aggressive. Those who would be surprised at this have no idea of the breed. Begone, you are merely nuisances.
  4. Just as an exercise I googled the newspaper web page as Rnb obviously does.. Searched dog attacks as RnB obviously does The list of dogs named involved in recent ''incidents'' included: Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rottwiellers x2 Husky type Bull mastiff Alaskan Malamute Akita No pitbulls of course, they are a banned breed you see so there aren't any. Probably a coincidence rottnbullies just happen to chose the SBT out of that lot. Out of curiousity I also googled Scotlands dog laws. They are moving to a deed not breed scenario which will make owners liable for the actions of their dogs & open to prosecution. They have stopped short of repealing the BSL however, so the SBT will still carry the can for every incident involving a dog with muscles. Interesting quote from one of proponents of the enlightened legislation. ''The Bill does stop short of a complete repeal of BSL. BSL has not prevented dog attacks, nor has it eradicated the Pit Bull in the UK despite having devastating consequences for some breed-types.'' Aint it the truth.
  5. Speaking of Amstaffs, I had to have a creep online of your guys, your beautiful girl Paris (RIP), was a smokin' dog. Love that head. I noticed she's from Rebbull Kennels, they actually had one of my male's half sisters. No wonder I was drawn to her :D Thanks Rep628, Paris was a lovely bitch, and we were terribly sad to loose her. Our next one is coming from Rebbull too, so we hope she is just as nice if not better. Did Tracey have the baby yet. i haven't seen them for a while. It was a while ago so I assume she must have. Craig & Tracey, amongst others, were in the rafted gazebos discussusing the Chivers fiasco I made mention of earlier. Craig was quite annoy at the stupidity of the evidence that put his breed right in the firing line. Pissed off would be more an accurate description. He didn't hold back. But no more so than the rest of us when you get right down to it. And for the same reasons.
  6. The forensic evidence is playing your song. ''It's a staffordshire Bull Terrier'' Isnt that the ring tone on your phone isn't it just incase you forget one day & actually aim up. Yeah, I know Fat chance.
  7. Agree. I don't have a problem with that. It is misidentification & misrepresentation of the breed when ever there is an ''incident'' that I have the problem with. Live & let live. Just don't put your garbage in my bin. Is that too much to ask? I think you best put your bin out for collection as its full to the brim with garbage and spewing over the top. :D Damn right. You put it there. Easy to recognise. It all generic. Nothing original.
  8. Use human nail clippers. As advised, just take the ends off.
  9. the violin music hasn't changed my opinion. Roccos a naughty boy. A very naughty boy. Go to gaol Rocco. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200
  10. Agree. I don't have a problem with that. It is misidentification & misrepresentation of the breed when ever there is an ''incident'' that I have the problem with. Live & let live. Just don't put your garbage in my bin. Is that too much to ask?
  11. What if..............they were bogans What if............. it had always been their dog? What if..............it was a restricted breed & they were trying save their sorry asses? Plenty of ''what ifs'' that fit án often played out scenario. What if... you read the news article Dougie. That's all any of us have to go on. ??? However, I have read the article & more than once. None of it suggests a SBT. Did you miss this bit? I missed the photo which corroborated the iD. I even missed the bona fides of the person who made the ID. Was it the owner? Do you have a link? ''There will be no carbon tax under a goverment I lead'' The cheques in the mail The brickies will be there monday. It was a Staffordshire Bull Terrier
  12. What if..............they were bogans What if............. it had always been their dog? What if..............it was a restricted breed & they were trying save their sorry asses? Plenty of ''what ifs'' that fit án often played out scenario. We cant blame all dog attacks on bogans and restricted breeds. Dogs are dogs and by nature and prior treatment they can and do attack occasionnly, disasters happen, the poor victim doesnt care about what ifs..... Wiseguy you have made it blatently clear your hatred of Pit Bulls and their ilk, maybe time to get off that particular bandwagon as there are many people who do like pit Bulls and find your relentless attacks on them insulting :D Thank you. I agree. It's a little egotistical to believe someone posted this thread just to get at you. And downright low to go and bring Pitbull's into it to try to save your breed. I don't need to save my breed, I (we) need to protect it before it needs saving. Prevention is better than cure. I haven't said this dog was a pitbull. I don't hate pitbulls. Although some of their owners are a bit sus. I don't hate any dogs, dogs are my passion. If have you have been reading the BSL thread you would be naive to think this thread wasn't raised specifically to bring some discredit to the SBT. If that sounds pathetic it is because it is pathetic. Pathetic but true. The OP hates pure breeds. Especially registered pure breeds. Specifically Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Registered recognised pure breed envy. Sad but true.
  13. The more I read it the more I am convinced there aren't any more ''what ifs'' that need to be asked. My ''What ifs'' do have substantial credibility based solely on the article. Possibly even the truth as a matter of fact.. As I am sure you might come to agree if you just apply a some objectivity. I have mature male SBTs that occasionally have a falling out. I can hold each at arms length, not without some trouble I will admit & I am neither young nor exceptionally strong anymore. One would be no problem at all, especially if he were on a leash with the extra leverage that would provide. Staffordshire Bull Terrier? Insufficent evidence. Case dismissed.
  14. I don't even read them anymore geo. They are stupid. The last one was so short even you couldn't bugger it up.
  15. What if..............they were bogans What if............. it had always been their dog? What if..............it was a restricted breed & they were trying save their sorry asses? Plenty of ''what ifs'' that fit án often played out scenario.
  16. Terrible. But it could have been worse Why did you post the article at all if not for my benefit? Another unsubstantiated identification of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, a dog a grown man could barely pull away using all his strength. Give me a break. Either the man is a finalist in the Mr Punyverse contest or the dog was something other than a SBT. Sometimes one has to dismount his high horse & get into the gutter when the call comes. This was such an occasion. When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
  17. I'll give you a leg up so you will at least know something. Those ''fat useless slugs'' as you call them, are British Bulldogs. There you go, you are on your way, now you at least know one fact.
  18. It's $1 charged by Ozentries per entry i.e. if you enter 5 dogs you pay $5 to Ozentries for the service. They also charge u a small percentage of the total of the transaction as a credit card fee, 1.5% or something like that. I look at it this way, it is far cheaper for me to be able to enter a show a week or 2 before that show via Ozentries and know that I can actually attend, as opposed to entering a show 4-5 weeks beforehand on the off chance that I "might" be able to attend. In saying that, I have noticed that in NSW show secretary's are now offering a closing date closer to the show, e.g. 2-3 weeks, since Ozentries have offered this service. I'm pretty sure the cost was more than a dollar per entry? Just from memory, & I may be wrong, but i'm thinking to enter 3-4 dogs for a show the extra cost was in the vicinity of an extra entry fee. Which adds up for a 2-3 show w/e. Most shows cost me a tank of fuel there & back, so an extra 20-30 bucks for a w/e does make a difference. Anyhow, to each their own.
  19. Matey a little word of advice stop assuming.I have been "in" the breed not interested in the breed long before you so stop the pretence and get down from your high horse before you get knocked down. There have never been pup sold or advertised for that price that is fact.I personally know the origanl importers and the who was who along the way.i will hazard a guess you dont so go back to reading fairytales buddy.I will hazard a guess i have culled more dogs than you have owned becuase unlike you I am not a internet "wiseguy". You dont need to worry what I do with my dogs as that is my business but you wont see mine on the 6 o clock news so no need to worry becuase i know how to keep them and give them what they need.i have been doing it for a couple of decades so i have it down pat.As for you statements about pitbull owners putting SBT's in the spotlight,I thought that is why you have your registry becuase your dogs are bred to such a high standard and all conform to the standard they are unmistakeable.Arent they?So how could a pitbull be mistaken for a SBT?If the standard is so good that is.The average show Staffordshire Bull Terrier does not resemble a Purebred American pitbull Terrier at all they. These days they look closer to an English Buldog. Typical bogan speak indicates the answer to the questions is no. I think you have shown you don't really have clue about the subject at hand. Let alone the problems to over come.. Nor do you have any idea regarding genuine recognised pure breeds. No such thing as an ENGLISH Bulldog for starters. $10,000 was correct, despite your claims. Bogan bucks. Because threats & abuse are typical of your genre is why you & types just like you will be the death of the ''breed'', certainly not the salvation. Those fighting so hard to convince anyone who will listen that these dogs are a family ''breed'' must cringe when they see what they are up against from within their own ranks. Any wonder the pure breed people are reluctant to become involved. Who would risk their beloved breeds by being seen to be associated with such an antisocial belligerent attitude. What chance do the dogs have? That will do me, i'll leave you & geo to wallow in your fantasy world. Good luck to the genuine pitty people, you are certainly going to need it. Those who would attack me or mine are my enemy. Something to think about.
  20. I dont think thats what happened - I think the man rescued his dog - and further down in the news report you see that the other dog (the innocent one) was captured due to a 'tip off'. Who phoned in the anonymous tip off? Who else knew an Akita had been removed from the facility & was being sought by the authorities? What would have happened if the vet had not realised it was not the same dog? Call me sceptical, call me suspicious. But I think Rocco knows.
  21. I do remember the incident. The dog was featured on the evening news. The dog was not a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. it was much to big to be a genuine SBT. I don't know if it was a pitbull, because there is no one in the country who can positively ID a pitbull, according to you, but it will do for one until we can find someone who can. It's time for you to stop making things up. Your are very naughty boy. I have no issue with pitbulls, or the people who own them. Misrepresention, of which you are a black belt, 3rd dan, is my concern. I do wish you lot had the balls to cop your lumps instead of craveningly & maliciously apportioning, with out thought or concern of the consequences, your breeds problems to registered, recognised pure breeds they unforunately resemble. I know why though, it isn't rocket science & it isn't even solely to protect your ''breed'', which is bad enough, it's mainly to protect your own sorry asses for ignoring the law regarding the keeping your dogs. Which is craven. The BSL is in place whether you agree with it or not. It is law. The restrictions imposed by it are very clear. Draconian? absolutely, but clear non the less. Hence. Pitbull? ''Nah, staffyX'' Have you really ever had a genuine Staffordshire Bull Terrier since you been in the country? I seriously doubt it, or are you one of the ''Pitbull?, nah, staffy'' miscreants? This I suspect to be the case.
  22. Then of course there is the alternative when the lies, deceipt & misrepresentation are challenged & laid bare. The bullying, & that old favourite, The guilt trip. Sigh. And then there's geo, who doesn't put any credibility in statistics yet has brought them to the fore, yet again. Are the SBT listed in your gleefully posted stats all really pure breed SBTs geo? Highly unlikely. Could any possibly be ANKC registered pure breeds? Again, higly unlikely. Repeat, Xbreeds are not Staffordshire Bull Terriers geo, & neither are pitbulls. Bulldogs4eva if you reckon the $10,000 price tag is ''crap'', you haven't been ''interested '' in the ''breed'' as long as I have. Because that is a stone cold fact. And there were many, many column inches devoted to the ''breed'' in all the classifieds at that time. It was a bogan feeding frenzy. BTW bulldogs4eva, do you muzzle your pitties when they are outside their required, defined minumum size, childproof pen as required by law? If you actually have one at all that is? Besides BD4E, how do know if you have pitties at all? No one in the country can positively ID them, don't you know? Shoe on the other foot? Not yet, despite your best despicable finger pointing efforts.
  23. I thought it was a little too expensive. Especially with multiple entries. I use Dogsoft. That will do me.
