  1. He was in Norway a few months ago. He repeats himself a lot, and was more of a showman rather than a dog trainer/rehabilitater. Most people thought it was a waste of money. It is a show and not a dog seminar, so do not expect to learn something new. He is very funny as everyone laughed constantly. He talked a lot about his childhood, about how dogs perceive us, how to be a packleader (as seen on his tv-show)and he had three dogs from Norway he was going to rehabilitate on stage. Friends told me that it was just embarrassing to watch him try to rehabilitate the dogs . The dogs were soooo stressed on the stage and one dog curled up under the legs of the owner when Cesar poked his fingers in the dogs neck, when he tried to teach the dog not to eat the chicken, he waved in front of him. I was not there but some of my friends were there.
  2. Yah totally true! most ppl dont read the dogs signals and the owners just sits on the bench and talks with other ppl and let the dog do what it wants do you know about some places it is not fenced? if its better for you guys:)
  3. StoneCutter: doonside is fenced and They have nice walking tracks. CW EW: we havent been in the dog park for months, since I dont trust the people there, But I would take her with me on arrangete meetings like this. why dont you take your dogs in fenced dog park? is the same reason as me or is it something else?
  4. next weekend would be good for us . what do you guys think about meeting at Bungarribee dogpark(Doonside Rd) , or is it too far for people?
  5. Remember not to rule out stress, humping is often stress to, so think about where and when he does it. what have they done before he humps on her? playing, maybe not gone for a walk for a while or too much walking, do they share toys and mabye he would like to have them for himself? etc.
  6. So good for you and Jenna that it worked out
  7. I don't agree with this statement. It is often best especially for a large breed to switch to an adult food at 6 months to slow down their growth so they don't reach their full adult height too quickly which can cause joint problems. Leelaa17 you should speak to Jenna's breeder and see what they recommend regarding food type and when to change to adult. Most GSD breeders recommend Royal Canin GSD, Pro Plan, or Artemis. In the old days there was only puppy food and adult and that's it, so they used to switch over to adult early. But now we have a wide variety of good puppy food for puppies of large breeds. These are designed to get the dog to grow slowly to avoid developmental effects in the skeleton of controlled amounts of calcium and energy(and something else but I can not remember the English word as my native language is Norwegian ), and will work better for this purpose than to use an adult. Depending on the size of the dog and kibbel brand the food will be used up to 12 and even up to 18 months before moving on to adult. so Leelaa17 continue with the puppy food, good that you got something especially for you German shepherd puppy. Jenna will probably have little trouble with her stomach if you mix in too much of the new food immediately. give it some time, and if it does not work then it is maybe that she has a sensitive stomach, and check with your veterinarian he can give you more information
  8. you should not switch to adult food now, it is important for large breeds to complete the puppy food until 1 year old. Pro plan lamb and rice puppy or the salamon these are good. But remember it is not always these food breands suit your dog, even if it does for others so you have to experiment a bit forward if you still have problems. The kibbelet should be high quality with lots of meat and dogs should not have alot of grains, the cheap brands have to much grains. Her poop must be firm, if it is soft poop she certainly going around with a stomach ache and it can go over to her behavior. Good luck
  9. what time are you guys meeting up?
