  1. Will not, cannot understand such cruelty; how can certain human beings do such horrendous things?
  2. What a dysfunctional despicable prick of a boy, Glad to hear that Quattro is okay; he is nowhere near as aggressive as he should be, I cant believe a police dog would be so docile to allow someone to attempt drowning him. Wish his dingaling had been totally demolished!!!
  3. I definitely see sheltie there; I would say sheltie x pom. Lovely looking dog.
  4. Very inspiring story; normally she would have been put to sleep but thanks to you she is still very much around and doing great! Good Luck with the competition!!!
  5. Neither really. Don't be too trusting of propaganda, Try barf and if that doesn't work then stick to some kibble or other but give barf a chance, if raw agrees with your dogs you won't be looking back,
  6. Glad to hear that this is a match made in heaven. May you have a beautiful life together full of fun and laughter. He is a cutie
  7. It's an individual thing, some dogs thrive on supermarket kibble whilst others don't do so well on "premium" foods. I would firstly try and avoid her sneaking out and eating the adult formula and see if that makes a difference. If not, then change onto another brand and make the changes gradually. Have you tried introducing raw, like pet chicken mince, raw chicken necks, etc etc? don't buy raw meat from a pet shop though.
  8. Why couldn't your brother be a little closer? lol. He sounds like a good bloke preferring to give the bones away than throw them out. Some butchers make you pay for them or prefer to throw them out than give them away
  9. Soiling 3 times in a month is not a sign of an untrained dog, he obviously cannot hold until the morning; given that you feed him so early in the morning you would think that he would have emptied out by night time. Are his stools firm or runny? I would seriously consider changing his diet slowly but surely. What brand of dry dog food are you feeding? Irrespective of whether it is a super premium dog kibble or supermarket stuff, perhaps it is not agreeing with him ?? I would look at his diet and crate him during the night. Hope your OH will exercise a little more patience instead of spitting the dummy, it's not as if it's an every night event, he sounds like my OH
  10. Thanks emilee. Off to order now Got goat's milk from the neighbour's goats so it was fresh but no idea what sort they are. I know that there is an enormous amount of debate over what is the best food for dogs at every stage of their life but I thought that I would post to say that I am a week and a bit into feeding two tiny puppies which I started on Woombaroo and then changed to the homemade formula. My guys were 153g and 114g respectively and the smaller pup dropped to 104g before I changed to the homemade formula and they have now both doubled their birth weight in the week and getting stronger by the day. I am in no way criticising the Woombaroo but when I tasted it it tasted bitter and the pups weren't particularly keen. Initially I was feeding the smaller of my pups 3mL every 2 to 3 hours and now she is up to 8 - 10mL every four hours. I find the management of tiny puppies very emotionally draining and far prefer it when I simply have to sit at the side of the whelping box and watch the mum do all of the hard work! Hopefully I am going to win this particular battle though. It is hard work handraising puppies; years ago I found myself having to raise 4 chi pups, they all survived but it was hard work having to get up every 3 hours during the night and worrying about aspiration pneumonia even though I knew I was doing it right via tube feeding. The worry that something would go wrong and that the puppies wouldn't thrive left me very emotionally drained but I also felt rewarded at the end of it all. Best of luck to you.
