Just went crazy on the K9 Pro website and got Zeus a new Crate, Crate mat, Premium leash, Hurley, Tick key and walkie belt

Hi I am just wondering if anyone knows of any really good puppy obedience schools in Brisbane (Southside - Browns Plains)

Sounds to me like a better way to go about it then getting one of those spray collars or even Static Pulse collar.

**I am no expert** but I think it will benefit your dog much more as you said he is only barking a minimal amount of time a day (5%)

Although to me- with the cat, it kind of sounds like Hugo's having territorial issues. But you also mentioned it happens with the workers across the road too? Even then I suppose he could feel threatened by them.

With Wilbur we'll be crating him at night (at first in our bedroom and then later when he's settled, he'll be in the kitchen) and when we're out during the day as he'll be inside the first few months. He will also have a bed in the lounge room but only allowed to sleep there in the evenings when we're all watching tv.

When you say Wilbur will be crated at night does this mean using the crate like a bed? or containment? (fully closed it so they cant escape?)

When you first get them, how many times should you take them out a night to do wees and such? I suppose they will let you know when they need to go out at night?

Just curious because I've only heard of crates on this site and after some further research I plan to buy one for Zeus. As we have a 5year old (very loud and very in your face) daughter. I feel like the crate will be a good idea for when our puppy needs some time out from her. She can get so full on when she's excited. I don't want Zeus to feel like he can't escape her terror

I've had family dogs, I've owned a horse, but I've never ever had my very own puppy.

I've waited 3 years or so to get her. In comparison to the 3 years, 10 days is going to be nothing. But right now, arghh I just cant wait it's killing me hahaha

I only went to our local obedience training club once & that was because they made me put a check chain on Sonny at 16 weeks of age & the instructor

told me I was too soft with him & snatched him from me & proceeded to drag him along yelping his head off !!! I was fumeing & I left in tears &

never went back.

Oh god I would be so upset too! This is horrible. I can't believe instructors - anyone really- would do this to a poor defenseless puppy
