  1. Hi All, My pup was born July 1st, we have had her since a little after 8 weeks, she goes for her 3rd injection next week, and just wanted to know when she can safely be walked. Thanks
  2. She eats eukuneba (spelling) dry food, 3 times a day, last feed I'd around 6
  3. Mainly poo during the night, I take her out before bed she usually does 2 wee's and a poo.
  4. She is from a breeder and seems to go well in the house, I might try making the crate a bit smaller, she does go to the toilet before bed. First week or so no issues and now this every night
  5. she eats a good 2 hours before bed, no accidents inside just in the crate at night
  6. Hi All Need adv. we have a Beagle girl and she is brilliantly behaved, she sleeps well doesnt bark in Crate, and goes to bed well, However During the night instead of waking us like she used to, she does a poo in the crate, we try to take her in the middle of the night and just before bed however it still occurs, The Crate is a little Big I guess, PP40 for a pup, but is there anything I can do to try and stop this, apart from this she is very very well behaved. She rarely has accidents inside, Thanks
  7. Thanks for the comments I dont mind people being blunt, I appreciate it as a Puppy is something to be cared for. I might actually take the Rules on fridge idea and use it.
  8. Thanks Yeah we are teaching all the kids that before she is picked up or cuddled she must sit, a bit harder with the 2 year old, but working on it. As for the fall, im hoping she is ok, she is walking fine, no pain when i touch and move the leg.
  9. Thanks, We are watching for a limp and any pain, Woke up this morning and she was doing fine, walking, jumping although we are trying to keep her quite and rested. Also our daughter who had hold of her was old enough to stand with her, its a little different, My young kids 2 and 3, only get to hold her on the lounge
  10. Hi All, We bought our puppy home last week, she is an 8 week old Beagle, and we had 1 issue on Sunday, The puppy jumped out of my daughters hands from about 100-120cms, When she landed on pavers loud yelp for 10 secs, then limp for 2 mins, She came good straight after this, she is eating drinking, walking normally and running, I called the VET and they said it should be fine, just watch her leg. check the colours of her paw pads, but just be cautious over the next few weeks, incase something called the growth plates closed. (Vet said it is rare and should not occur if pup is walking fine so quickly, however she had to tell us) Is there anything I need to check for, and worry about?
  11. sorry to just butt into your convo :D . The PP40 dimensions your breeder quoted appear odd. I've never seen internal measurements quoted; only outside dimensions. PP10 33 x 33 x 48.5 cm PP20 37 x 37 x 52 cm PP30 43 x 45 x 62 cm PP40 44 x 53 x 73 cm PP50 56 x 60 x 82 cm from this website http://www.puichinco.com.au/pet_products.html hope this helps. Thanks heaps, Just wondering then, is the PP40 or PP30 then best for a Beagle
  12. Hi All, Just wanted to confirm the PP40 is the right size to get for a Beagle, il have to block some off at a PUP but want to ensure this is the right one Our breeder said the PP40 is 57cm x W 38cm X H 46cm. but this appears to be the internal measurements or are they talking about the pp20? Thanks
  13. thanks everyone Still trying to source a PP40, also the breeder adv. the PP40 dimensions are L 57cm x W 38cm X H 46cm, im guessing they are measuring internal not external? Also anyone know the best place to buy the DVD?
  14. Thanks Ive PM'd Wayrod, I need to try and find one in Sydney within the next week or so, Would love a cool coloured one :/
  15. Il post alot of pics Now to find the cheapest place to buy a PP40
  16. thanks so much, During the day the crate will be in the lounge room, and at night in our room, Spoke to the breeder who adv. this one is best called a PP40 it’s dimensions are L 57cm x W 38cm X H 46cm. Im guessing I can divide easy, they sell them for $120 but they are plane certified This one kind of looks ok, but yeah id like to keep it private from kids hands, easier to teach them aswell - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-SMALL-24-COLLAPSIBLE-PET-DOG-CAT-METAL-CAGE-CRATE-/180692471521?pt=AU_Pet_Supplies&hash=item2a121c4ee1#ht_4216wt_905
  17. Thanks all, I will also have a look at those books and Dvd. Just not sure on what crate or what size. Soft - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Large-Portable-Soft-Pet-Dog-Crate-Cage-Kennel-Blue-/270774835578?pt=AU_Pet_Supplies&hash=item3f0b70197a#ht_3782wt_1139 Cage (prefer not as kids hands) - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/36-Large-Collapsible-Metal-Pet-Dog-Puppy-Cage-Crate-/270791818369?pt=AU_Pet_Supplies&hash=item3f0c733c81#ht_3622wt_1139 Carrier - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Pet-Dog-Carrier-Crate-Large-Open-top-wheels-/150648007169?pt=AU_Pet_Supplies&hash=item2313522a01#ht_855wt_1139 And better soft or carrier? Thanks so much
  18. Hi All, We bring our female Beagle home in 2 weeks, and trying to get everything ready, Ive had Blue Cattles and Border Collies in the past but I was younger, So training wont be 100% new, but im going to treat it like it is. Ive heard good and bad things, but thinking crate training may be the way to go, Is anyone able to point me in the right directions of any sites etc that give the best adv. outline on this, I need to read it, Plus my wife who will be home all day with the kids and pup. Also ive looked around at different crates, can anyone recomend anywhere good to buy them in South West Sydney, Ive seen soft, enclosed and wire/cage ones, Id prefer the closed almost carrier crates as my young kids cant put their hands in and touch the puppy in its safe house, but not sure if that will work. Thanks heaps!
