  1. We have four, three whippets and a greyhound, I am happy with this number. We fostered greyhounds last year and the extra greyhound didn't make much difference, except that council regs say you can only walk four at a time.
  2. That is a very happy ending, and I am so pleased you have your little one back home with you.
  3. Might I say he has perfected the head shake to move them up sometimes and also is not above wiping them off on a whippet. It has taken a while for him to get used to them but the one advantage they have, over the other types, is that they do not cut down his peripheral vision, which the others do and that upsets him. The interchange lens doggles really freak him out, he will not even walk forward with them on, he just stands and drools. The elastic on these ones is a lot more narrow too which he seems to like as well. I think my Jed is a special boy because he loves his jacket and he also is particularly partial to reindeer antlers with bells on them. :)
  4. This is Jed pretty much when we first got him, he no longer needs to wear his muzzle, now that he has his green collar. The glasses have a strap behind his ears and under his chin. The flash of the camera startled him so forgive the crazy eyes :D
  5. Our greyhound Jed has pannus, so he has to wear them. He tolerates the ones that are more like sunglasses a lot better than the doggles type. He has no problem wearing them and has been for the last three years.
  6. Your pictures are amazing!!!!
  7. The owner of the greyhounds that went through the group I was fostering for a few years ago used The Naughty Dog School and he was very happy with the results, Apparently they looked at everything including nutrition.
  8. It is really funny how people react to greyhounds who are muzzled and those that are not. People used to cross the road with their kids and their dogs when Jed wore his and now that he has his green collar they just walk right up and pat him. So yes all greyhounds who wear muzzles are nasty dogs. You should buy him a green collar because he would not have to wear a muzzle then (my favourite) They chase all small fluffy animals.
  9. I feed my whippets Purina Proplan for sensitive skin and they are doing really well on it. Their coats are lovely and they seem to really like it, so I am happy with it. :)
  10. Dogmad you are a wonderful person and you do a brilliant job for all of these poor whippets. I really hope they do not become too trendy or the pounds will be full of them.
  11. We went to the Illawarra one too, those Leonburgers were so spectacular and so was the Boerbull! Saw the biggest wolfhound I have ever seen and all the dogs seemed so well behaved. Jed just took it all in his stride and I think the whippets enjoyed themselves too.
