  1. There is a canine chiro at Wavell Heights called Nat and Darcy they do people and animals
  2. I wasn't planning on having border collies as my next dog but now I couldn't give my two up for anything, Myf is the one laying down in the front and she's a sable border collie but registered with the ANKC as Tri as that is what we thought she was it wasn't until she got a few weeks older that we realised she was sable
  3. Well Smisch Thor can socialise with Zac as it's just gonna be me and Myf and Zac I think at Nationals and Zac won't be running as he is still crazy to compete yet
  4. Hi Rozzie, There is Gold Coast Dog Obedience club located at Ron Short Park, Alicia Street, Southport they do Obedience, Agility and Puppy Kindy here is there website http://www.goldcoastdogobedience.com
  5. So wish I could of gone love going to Steve's workshops, have been using some of his TID on both my dogs for obedience and the improvement and drive I see in them from it is amazing. Hope you come back soon Steve so I can hopefully come again
  6. Don't feel bad about Hudson doing zoomies my boy Zac still does zoomies and goes and visits the other puppies at training, the thing I have learnt with him is to get him to do some focus work on me while we are waiting for our turn to train and if he does decide to run off during class I call him back and give him lots of praise for returning he is getting better at not running away, Zac is still a baby dog at 16 months some nights at training he is really good and will do everything great and the next week it's like he has gone back to not knowing anything at all, all you have to do is stick with it and he will get better and you will start to see the focus come and everything will end up clicking together :D
  7. You should be very proud of the job you are doing with that young man of yours. He is AWESOME. Once we can teach him the rules of the game there'll be no stopping him! Am really chuffed how well he is going, he is such a great boy to train and yep once he learns the rules of the game there will be no stopping him am looking forward to the day he gets in the ring to play this fun game of Agility,
  8. hehehehe. Back tonight for more fun! This just made me smile. Always up for more Agility Dogs can't get enough of it best part of my week is going out to training after all I do have 2 BAD dogs lol
  9. Can I assume you have Staffords going by your name? :) There is not enough of them at any of the training places I attend - would love to see what a stafford competing in agility can do! That's my goal for Booker one day. Sorry to go off topic OP. I do have staffords well a staffy x that is now retired from agility she is now 15, I have 2 border collies now, we do have staffords training at the cub that also compete, there re a few staffords around that compete in agility that are very good.
  10. BAD is awsome I love training there as I said I have my older dog doing Tuesday nights there and my younger one there on Wednesday in the Elementry class, if you have done foundation work with Hudson you might be able to just go straight into Elementry on Wednesday, the good thing about BAD is you can turn up whenever and just pay the training fee if you don't do the foundation course.
  11. I go to BAD on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and the training that we get is awsome, Elise+Hudson if you have done agility before you might not need to go on Wednesday night you might be able to go straight to tuesday, you can always turn up on a Tuesday night without Hudson and take a look.
  12. My girl is myfanway but it is shortened to Myf
  13. Just got this from one of the committee members for the Nationals - We got some good news from Dogs Queensland today regarding on-site camping. It looks like they will have camping sites (caravan, campervan and tent) along with a new amenities block (including laundry facilities) ready for the nationals next year. The sites will predominantly be non-powered though. At this stage, we are only asking for expressions of interest to see how many people may be interested and the sites will only be offered to “out-of-towners”. Cost per night at this stage isn't known but will probably be minimal just to cover costs for amenities upkeep. Please email details to [email protected] to put your name down. As soon as we get more information from Dogs Queensland, we will let you know. At this stage, they haven’t been able to give us any timeframes.
  14. Hi Lisey sorry I haven't posted haven't been on for a while Teamwork does all positive training, there classes are really good I took my boy there after we did puppy class and did there class 1 and that was really quite good, I haven't been there for over a year now as I am doing most of my training at home but am looking at going back I also took my older girl there as well, the instructors are all really good there and quite helpful if you are having any issues with your dog, they don't use check chains there but my dogs have been trained using them and they didn't mind me using them as long as I wasn't harshly correcting them when using it (not that I ever do with check chains) they were all good.
  15. There is TeamWork Dog Obedience and they are on the Northside and train on a Saturday morning
  16. The grounds at Showgound are pretty good I did agility out there about a month ago I would say we would have to get at least a few areas put aside for us seeing as how big the nationals are I for one am glad I will be able to go to a nationals sooooo looking forward to. As for judges it will be interesting to see who they will be as I have heard some of our QLD judges will not be judging due to not being allowed to run there dogs as well so unless DQ relax the rule to allow the judges to run there dogs I'm nit sure how many judges will accept the judging
  17. I retired my staffy when she was 12 not due to the fact she couldn't do agility anymore but because she has started getting cataracts and at clubs that had really bad lights she couldn't see the jumps and kept running into them and I didn't want her to get injured so I retired her had it not been for this I think I would still be trialling her
  18. I just got my copy of Crate Games and can't wait to get started on it
  19. Here is my channel http://www.youtube.com/user/staffylover81?feature=mhee I have a few video's of my Border Collie Myf on there doing trials as well as my Staffy girl Saxon.
  20. I was also at the same trial on the Saturday as AD although I didn't have as many runs as he did but it was my newest family member Myf's first trial in the Novice Jumping ring and although there was a few mistakes here and there as well as a love of the tunnel I was very happy with the way she went. My handling needs a lot of improvement with her as it is very different running a Border Collie to a Staffy which I am finding out real fast hopfully we can only improve from here. Here is the link to her first run in Novice Jumping
  21. email address for the club is [email protected] so hopfully your email should get through MrsD
  22. I hope you're not disappointed BL :D Especially if she repeats her "performance" from obedience club tonight Feeling close to throwing in the towel atm Bec if you think Daisy is going to be bad Myf is going to be worse I was wanting to put her in class last night but because of the amount of people we had at club I had to instruct come the weekend she is going to be mental and all over the place.
