  1. I've got a large plum tree in the backyard. Every year, it's a race between the dogs and the birds to see who can eat the most.... Any mushrooms that sprout after a bit of rain are also devoured in record time.
  2. You assume an awful lot....
  3. I laugh at you guys. Why do you care so much about something that doesn't concern you? You can't change anything, and you're obviously only feeding off each others dramatics. Seriously, the only people here that are trolling are those that continue to bump this thread back up to have their little whinge. Mods, feel free to delete this thread. It's run it's course.
  4. Oh woe is me. Reading the replies is better than watching the Oprah show... I'm gonna get some popcorn.
  5. I've never met a puppy that was teething that DIDN'T have bad breath...
  6. Plenty in the Stafford thread.
  7. Thanks to those who have offered advice, and to those whinging, please feel free to not bother posting if you don't have anything nice to say The formula I 'was' using is Divetelact (sp?). She has a constant supply of puppy food, and constant water. No problems with food or water intake. Also plenty of red meat for iron. The puppies are still gaining healthy weight, and only make noise when Bella accidentally steps on one As long as they keep gaining, I'll lay off the formula, but it's there IF I need it. To address the other issues, no, I'm not a breeder. Yes, she was getting desexed. Yes, it was a mistake not getting her done. There were other issues going on and it took a back seat in the priorities. Yes, nature took it's course, and she fell pregnant. However, if ONE of you should think less of me because that happened, then you know where to shove it. I give my dogs as much love and affection as they can handle, and are members of my family. Just because I don't have a breeders prefix, doesn't mean I'm any less of a dog owner. All the puppies will still be going to loving homes, and I'll be screening prospective owners. I am WELL AWARE that puppies are not a money making exercise, and they were never meant to be. There's a lot of people on their high horse in this forum, you know who you are. Just because someone isn't registered, it doesn't mean you still can't offer support through advice when someone wants the best for their pets. If you have anything nasty to contribute to this thread, please us the PM feature, and stop wasting peoples time by posting irrelevant crap in here. For those that continue to offer advice, thank you in advance.
  8. Bella gave birth to 8 healthy pups on the 17th of April. They're all gaining healthy weight, but are almost constantly feeding. I've tested her milk output, and they've almost drank the poor girl dry. I started them on formula, but there's only 2 out of the 8 that love the bottle and will drink from it. Any tips on getting the others to take the bottle? This won't be their main source of milk, more of a 'top up' at night to keep them happy and on top of things.
  9. Supacoat dry food every day, and a big juicy marrow bone on the weekends. They love it. Shiny coats. Strong solid builds. Works for me. $42 for 17kg isn't bad either.
  10. My dogs loved their poo when they were pups. I tried it, but didn't know what the fuss was about. Wasn't as tasty as they made it out to be...
  11. There's another dog pool around the back of RAAF Base Edinburgh. Just past Elizabeth.
  12. There is nothing on this planet that I haven't found that my Staffords won't eat. Including banana peels and watermelon rinds.
  13. drop the meat consumption. put her on dry food for a couple of weeks, and give her a bit of meat as a "treat" on weekends. lots of vegies/rice. and more exercise!!!!!
  14. My stafford pup cried for three nights straight when i put her outside for the first time. After three nights, she was fine. Just let them cry...... Be strong, sometimes you gotta be cruel to be kind
  15. Bella HATES having a bath, she'll wriggle and scream at me. But... LOVES having a shower with me! We both get into the shower, and i'll sit on the floor and give her a good scrub, then rinse her off while i give myself a good scrub I think it might have something to do with her feet being under the water in a bath.... not sure. Or maybe she feels claustrophobic. Either way, whenever i have a shower, and she doesn't need one. She'll sit outside at whimper at me through the shower door
