  1. Ah okay. I have brushed the area, but the fur doesnt seem to be dead. It stays put.
  2. She's been taught some basic commands, she's learning heel and stay at the moment (the latter being difficult) I'll go to the library and try and find some books by those authors. My dad is just a lot more confident with her, from the moment he first greeted her he was the boss and tough with her. Whereas I coddled her a little when I brought her home.. Thanks for the tips. :D
  3. Bundy's coat is black, with some white on her chest, brindle on her cheeks and paws. I'm noticing around her hind legs, ears, the coat is getting softer and its turning a brown colour. Will her whole coat go brown? Or will I have to wait and see?
  4. A few of you may remember when I posted about getting my puppy, Bundy, a kelpie x labrador. She's around 7 months now, and she's grown so much! I'd post pictures but Im at the library. She's a smart dog (I think) but she does some pretty dumb things sometimes She has so much energy, and I sometimes wonder if Im in over my head. Any for the problems. She gets much too over excited when Im outside playing with her, she may be okay at first then start getting crazy, or she could be crazy to begin with. She jumps up and grabs the clothes you're wearing, or flesh, she barks, she nips heels, she grabs fingers.. (Please dont think Im a bad mother!) She has been trained, she's been to puppy pre school (obedience school is next though), but she has a bit of selective hearing. I have a hard time of getting her to actually listen to me, if I take her round to my dads house, he has no problem setting her straight (mind you, he's 50, tall, broad, deep voice..and has had 3 kids before!) She's just been desexed, and I hoped that would calm her down a bit. It did for the first night back home. She was so drugged out Is it me? Is she over excited or is she brimming over to aggressiveness? Is she going through the teenage months yet? You know..rebellion, biting back, that kind of stuff? She's an outside dog, unfortunately. Not my choice. My mum doesnt want her inside. I dont know if that contributes to it or not, but I would rather her inside a lot more, more human contact. But yeah, any help would be appreciated. Family members give me their opinions all the time, and I do as they say, but a lot of the time things just dont seem to work. Thanks
  5. We have a gate with gaps in it, but our fences are really high and you cant see through them. We live on a pretty quiet street, Bundy hardly spends any time at the gate, so I dont really worry. She's pretty quiet too, no barking at cars or anything. But, it depends on the dog really..

    Fun Puppy Games

Bundy and I stalk each other. After she chases me around the back yard she'll get down low (as will I) and slowly stalk towards me. Its pretty good fun
  7. My girl bites too. Its painful. I thought about using the spray bottle, but I wonder if it will make her scared of the water, the spray bottle itself, or both? edit: Spray bottle sucked. She got more excited. Oh well. At least she isnt afraid of water, lol.

    Puppy Food

I feed my pup Optimum, puppy. She was being fed on Paloney and puppy food biscuits, as well as My Dog, at the rescue, so I'm slowly changing her to Optimum. She loves it. Look into Hills Science Diet, we feed our cat that. Its great. Vets + lecturer of mine recommends it.
  9. My cat Sylvester died today. He had an operation done because his bladder was blocked, and that went fine.. But he died half an hour later from toxic shock or something. I miss him so much. R.I.P my darling boy, you always meant the world to me and I cant believe you're gone. I love you.
  10. Oh okays Jacqui. PAL is junk food. *mental note* So is it sort of the more expensive the better? Sorry lol. Im dumb.
  11. Oh dear then. Runny/sloppy poo's arent good right? What causes the runnyness/sloppyness (...), does the food just not agree with the puppy/dog? Even though a certain dog food makes one puppy's poo sloppy/runny it doesnt mean that it will make another puppys poo's sloppy right? Are there like the good brands of dog food and the not so good? Eeek. Sorry. Im hijacking this thread. Sorrrrry!!!
  12. Sorry if this is a little off topic... But I was wondering what Pedigree Pal puppy food is like. Does anyone know?
