On the subject of hounds, AWL Ingleside has Roy, a 2.5yo Afghan x Pharaoh Hound cross looking for a forever home or a foster carer (sighthound experienced). Roy has previously been a family pet, but after relationship breakdown he ended up in Blacktown Pound & then at AWL for the past 5-6 weeks. He is not doing well in a shelter environment - needs to put on a lot of weight & has contact dermatitis on all 4 feet, probably due to the large amount of seeding paspalum on the grounds. If any sighthound people can help, please contact AWL directly, or you can PM me (I am visiting Roy each weekend but unable to foster him myself)

Nothing at all. There will be a story in this Wednesday's Fairfield Advance paper - we can only hope it will trigger some response....

We have phoned all the local vets, Rebury Farm Animal Shelter, other regional pounds, Fairfield Council, RSPCA, AWL, Greyhound Racing NSW, Greyhound Rescue. Have put up flyers around the area. Made announcements over the radio. Now trying to get a mention in the local paper, but they are closed until next week. Thanks for everyone's thoughts & prayers.

A young black male Greyhound belonging to GAP NSW went missing from new foster home in Fairfield (Sydney)on evening of 27th Dec 2011. All attempts to locate him have failed so far.
