  1. Those behind the organisation should be held responsible and charged with citing terror and fear into the community. Among other unspeakable crimes on their extensive list. An uneasy change of lifestyle the affected areas residents have had to adapt and endure. Maximum security. Our homes shouldn't be a prison, this isn't a chaotic lawless third world state. How much longer do you have to live in fear? Sadly your pets may have survived another day but in it's place another faces a painful, tortured and grime fate. A moment of silence; Frantically scanning and searching amongst the sea of unfamiliar faces for his family, anyone he recognises, a saviour, but at this point he'll settle for someone with a single shred of kindness and mercy to return him to where he was taken or just out of this hell. Man's cruelty never ceases to disgust me.
  2. Maybe she's sick of hearing her dogs yappy sound and wanted to hear her voice for a change. As nails to a chalk board it is for you. You have my condolences, I'm very sorry.
  3. A counterattack and dismissal of the individual with no authority over the jurisdiction would have suffice. The latter of your comment was unnecessary.
  4. Your heading is Non-Dog neighbours, who are you referring to? The ones who loves you or the lady with the yappy little dogs? The latter would qualify as a neighbour with dogs who likes dogs, just their own and nobody else's.
  5. I wouldn't let a mere cleaner boss you around. He's most likely the type that has a dog in his back yard who he hardly ever sees and never walks There's nothing wrong with that profession it's still respectable. It doesn't warrant a characterisation and insinuation.
  6. Ideally, if it were I in that predicament I'd hope the breeder was understanding enough to refund a certain amount less the cost of the resale as a pet. It would remain as part of the family. Then move on and find a different breeder to source an individual for my objectives. Again in an ideal situation.
  7. Descriminating one based on physical description/standards is so ignorant and uneducated and these poor loved pets suffered for their incompetence. Shall we arrest and detain a group of the population because they fit the targeted description. Then ignore scientific, medical and educated facts dispelling the authority? Further advances litigated towards heavier penalties and punishment for owners of the offending canine regardless of breed is more productive. Rather than placing an x on the head of all individuals belonging to a particular breed. One is responsible and should be held accountable for the actions of a dog that's not confined and secured on it's property. Editing: Removed OP's article decreasing comment size.
  8. Disarming a dogs only natural defenses and still considering a dogfight? Should be called The slaughter of an innocent loved family dog. And those degenerates who witness these heinous scenes then go home, eat, sleep sound at night and assimilate with the rest of society, is disturbingly frightening and beyond comprehension. I can't even imagine what else they're desensitised to. Brings tears to my eyes and blackens morale. Very hard to look at images of the innocent victims, photographs taken in happier circumstances. I wish all victims recieve justice soon before another has to die.
  9. Hi Chocolate! That's quite all right, life gets busy right. Thank you for your great advice. Will be following the exact same routine. Looking forward to the changes in the coming weeks. Cheers.
  10. Chocolate - is this true even for the fact (?? fact as far as I'm aware, anyway) that in a veterinary clean, the teeth are polished after the clean, for this very reason ??? That question aside - I use Plaque Off and am finding it is assisting with the removal of plaque which gathered quite quickly and suddenly on my dog's very back teeth. I'm still working on it though. Do you specifically find that the using Petzlife Oral Care in conjunction with Plaque Off makes a lot of extra good difference? Yes despite teeth being polished at the end it has limited ability to smooth out the roughness of the tooth surface over any period of time so plaque soon adheres again. The Petzlife and the Plaque Off work in different ways so they are good to use in conjunction with each other. The Petzlife works topically by softening the plaque/tartar and the Plaque Off works systemically by stopping bacteria grow in the saliva. Hi Chocolate, Wonderful advice. I'm learning something new each time I visit DOL. Petzlife Gel used in conjunction with Plaque off, is that both daily at different times? Sprinkle Plaque off with dinner and maybe use the gel after breakfast perhaps? Care instructions recommend prohibiting access to water for atleast 30 minutes after application. So maybe use the gel before bedtime to allow the Plaque off adequate time to thoroughly medicate? Flying Furball I hope your feeling better. xoxo.
  11. The nerve of the pair. What's the Letterbox Technique? Picking up and Returning to Sender. Suitably bagged, of course. Although that's not really my dad's style, he's much more polite and probably would have talked to the kid's dad. I have friends who find it not just weird, but actually insulting that anyone should pick up after a dog, and are also the school of people who will always walk the dog off their property to let it do its thing. The second is no bad thing, but I cannot fathom the reasoning behind the combination - my dog, but everyone else's crap? Now that's one parcel I hope to never receive!
  12. So basically that beach had turned into a giant litter box. Nice. I once went down to a local beach with a cousin and as we were settling in laying down on our towels enjoying the sun, slowly emerging due to winds was day old doggie doo from the sands right next to us. Needless to say we relocated and always kept one eye opened.
  13. She sounds identical to my neighbour across the road. She also scolds the dog for defecating whilst walking, like it had a choice.
  14. It's precisely what a few members have commented they are essentially Landmines and at my estate walking trail certain areas are scattered every 2 metres with them so it becomes a game of dodge and jump.
  15. It certainly does, so once again the responsible dog owners cop it because of the lazy bastard dog owners. I saw a girl let her dog crap and move on when driving the other day and I blew a fuse. Did a u-turn and told her to go back and pick it up. She tried to use the excuse that she forgot to bring bags and I called her on that because she had just come out of the dog park where there is a roll of free dog poo bags available to the park users. Some people are just too damn lazy or too precious to carry dog shit in a plastic bag when out walking. Makes me wonder how many land mines they have in their own backyard. That's exactly it. It's becoming harder & harder to have dogs all because of irresponsible owners. They probably don't have any because they always let their dogs do it while out walking. I was once in my local park & across the playing fields a man was standing with his back to his dog while he pooed pretending nothing was happening. Of course he walked off leaving it there. My obedience club trains at a private schools sports field. One time, many years ago now, one of our member's dogs did what he had to & the member picked it up in a plastic bag. One of the mother's of the soccer players said 'Ooooo'. One of the main conditions of us using the grounds is picking up after our dogs & new members are told when they come for the 1st time. Doesn't seem to apply to the students, you should see what they leave behind after a game. I don't know about other states but in NSW there are heavy fines for not picking up after your dog. Pity these people don't get caught. A dog walker near my cousin's house used to always let her dog defecate on my cousin's footpath or garden. He got sick of having to pick it up, so knowing where she lived, he put a parcel in her letter box. She never lets her dog go there anymore. :) And that's a gift to treasure. Yuck!
  16. But wouldn't almost killing the cat be classed as 'unreasonable aggression'? Appreciate the help with this too, Cheers. IMO yes killing another animal just for the sake of it is unreasonable aggression, I have always had dogs and no way would I think it was acceptable for any of them to kill an animal that wandered into my yard, I have to say I am a little shocked that people are saying yeah well that's what dogs do. FWIW I don't like cats and think they should be indoors 24/7. So when a cat stalks it's prey i.e. mouse, rat, native bird, small lizards & animals then kills it either instantly or slowly, plays with the corpse for it's amusement and possibly later consumes, you wouldn't say that's their natural instinct or have they been taught to? And shall it branded a Dangerous Aggressive animal? That would be a substantial number of offenders. In individual cases it's unknown what a dog(s) is capable of until the situation arises. I would be mortified and sadden if my dogs were the perpetrators but it's not beyond the realms of possibility. There are dogs out there inclined to exhibit their animal instinct if called upon for whatever circumstance. As I mentioned I don't like cats, I volunteer for a wildlife rescue group and if you want my honest opinion any cat roaming should be euthanised, because yes they are aggressive killers. Probably a good thing they aren't the size of a Dane ;) Unfortunately I can't see that becoming a reality any time soon. Plenty of possums and koalas are maimed and killed by dogs and cats alike and I think the whole "it's natural instinct" card is too readily thrown around as an excuse for people to be blasé about their animals killing other animals. My 2c :) My reply never implied you liked cats as you clearly stated in your last paragraph of your first reply, but simply putting that, is it not still simply an animal the cats behaviour? Same applies for canines just because they've been domesticated doesn't mean you've reared and bred out it's complete animal instincts.
  17. Hilarious at times when strangers come up and randomly drop the baby talk to my Pom puppy, I have to keep a straight face for over 2 mins or more. Can be quite a challenge after the 3rd guest speaker.

  19. Unfortunately more common place nowadays a new act of filth in my neighborhood and surrounding walking trails. Dog owners have become very inconsiderate and selfish allowing their dogs to defecate on heavy traffic footpaths and walking away without removal or correct disposal of. It ranges from milk shakes, sprinkles, scoops of choc chip ice cream to the man size snags on a BBQ, all unpleasing to the senses. Do dogs toilet trained on grass become overwhelmed with the scents and confused as to what surfaces are now acceptable to relieve themselves on?
  20. It was inevItable I would baby talk to the new puppy and recently my OH has caught this contagious disease. It was too hilarious witnessing a "Macho Man" revert to his inner child and coo coo every word. So the question is; Baby talker or Mature speaker?
  21. Without appearing crass there are a myriad of videos on YouTube about doggy accidents indoors. It's quite educational as you pick up the variying signs dogs display before elimination. And in some of their defense they did look towards the individual holding the camcorder for acknowledgement of their request but blatantly ignored.
