  1. I can tell I get judged for making Ollie sleep in a 'cage' at night.
  2. The crate was a saving grace for me when I first brought Ollie home at 8 weeks, and still is today.
  3. Would have to vote for a Cavalier too :) I only have one and he actually does well being on his own. We did get him use to it from a young age though.
  4. I've been bathing Ollie with calendula tea as well but it doesn't seem to relieve the itch The link I posted is a site that sells good products which supposedly helps as well, so I might look into some of them. They're very pricey though.
  5. It could be a yeast problem? http://www.dermagic.com/Dog-Yeast-Infections_ep_86-1.html I read up on it recently because my dog seems to have the same thing, and yeah it looks like dirt that won't wash off.
  6. This is what my Cavaliers fur is like, especially around his back legs. It's more fluffy like you said, and looks as though his puppy fur hasn't grown out. Not sure why that's the case! I groom him so often too!
  7. I've also got a great kitchen floor cleaner! Ollie also acts as a hot water bottle for me during winter.
  8. I know its more than 2 syllables but - Fiyero. It's from the musical Wicked and I've always thought it was a cool name haha :D
  9. I voted rarely since I didn't have my own car before and there wasn't much of an opportunity to take him to the park, but I recently just bought one so hopefully will get to take him more often!
  10. I also give frozen Kongs. I stuff it with either sardines, mashed banana or peanut butter and freeze overnight, lasts ages :) But then again I only have one dog so he's use to being without the company of another.
  11. Hanrob is at Sutherland..... about 90 minutes from Nowra or more. Not unless they now have a closer branch? I think you might mean the one in Heathcote which is sort of near Sutherland? Ollie's stayed there a few times :)
  12. Actually I have the exact same problem! He knows not to jump up on me and my family members but I've been struggling to train him to not jump on strangers. Argh.
  13. I don't mind it at all, Ollie is very people friendly and absolutely loves it :)
  14. Doesn't scalibor cover ticks though?
  15. Could you use the Scalibor collar safely with something like Comfortis though?
  16. There's one of my old pillows and three different soft toys that he either plays with or uses to rest his head on. I can't use blankets since Ollie chews on them. I've also got a small metal bowl that hangs on the side of the crate for water, I think its usually used as a bird feeder or something but it's so handy!
  17. Ollie is out in the yard, he pretty much owns it now. There's plenty of shelter and he has a crate outside with a roof and his bedding. Fortunately there is usually someone home during the week so he's never on his own for a whole day. He can't be trusted in the house without supervision!
  18. I've used Frontline and am currently using Advantix, but found both irritate Ollie's sensitive skin quite badly. He ends up rolling around on the grass trying to get rid of it which probably then defeats the purpose!
  19. Green beans cut up into small pieces are great for healthy training treats as well!
  20. He was a lot better yesterday morning Jules, he had the slightest limp last night but is doing much better after no walks and lots if rest. Trying to keep such an energetic dog chilled is a challenge, haha. Thanks for asking Jules! :)
  21. Thanks CHA, it really is Hopefully it's nothing serious, I'll definitely get him to the vet if there's no improvement by Monday. I might go check around the area where he yelped tomorrow to see if I can spot anything he might've stepped on.
  22. He definitely could have, can a wasp/bee sting be seen? He's quite furry around his legs and I haven't been able to see any signs of a sting. I've just taken a video with my phone, thanks RuralPug.
