  1. Thank you everyone we think he is a bit special!!
  2. Thank you!! I know how big is he!!!
  3. Been a long time coming but wanted to update a picture of our beautiful Harry. He will be 5 months on the 4th of April but boy it feels like hes been here 5 years. Puppyhood has been quite testing but we are enjoying just about every minute of it, the latest issue is jumping up on all the furniture now he has learnt he can lol the first time he got up he got such a fright he jumped straight back down but now he just likes to jump really. Lifes good!! This photo was taken after his first clip, our groomer said he was honestly the best cocker she has clipped ever, she clipped Mollydog for 12 years, and our grromer competes in America at grooming shows so thats saying something!!!
  4. Thank you Harry is a cocker spaniel :)
  5. Thank you. Pictures are very scarce as he does not sit still for a minute!!!
  6. Thank you, I know the bag says complete food it just seems mean and really boring. :)
  7. Hi All Been busy busy busy with new puppy "Harry" not at all as easy as I remember 13 years ago, may have something to do with being 13 years older  Just a bit of advice please Harry had an upset tummy just after he came nothing hugely drastic think just eating anything from our yard leaves sticks etc and being a new puppy, anyway long story short the vet ended up putting him on Flagyl (sp?) and he has been fine ever since. When I got Harry he was on Pedigree puppy biscuits and cooked rice chicken and veges. The vet changed Harry to Royal Canin which I would have changed him over to a premium biscuit after a couple of more weeks my question is............. can puppies just have dry food and no wet food?? My Molly dog had dry food and then a scottys dog roll in the evenings, I know alot of people dont like the dog rolls but she did so well on it and my vet always commented on how well she was and how amazing she looked with clean ears eyes and an amazing coat. So have babbled on and got off subject but my question is can "Harry" have just dry food? Thanks
  8. Oh my gosh your sounding exactly the same as me...... I was down the back yard in the middle of the night with the torch poo watching!! We bought "Harry" home 2 weeks ago tomorrow, feels like he has been in our lives for months!!! and I have been to the vets twice, just because I have worried myself stupid!!! I had truly forgotten how stressful it is owning a puppy and how much you worry. Our breeder has been wonderful and at our vet visit yesterday (vaccinations and loose poos) our vet said just ring and ask to speak with me if you have any concerns whatsoever, I will always ring back if busy. He said it was VERY normal for new puppy parents to look like newborn baby parents and to worry themselves sick, he said the puppies are always fine its the parents that need the drugs lol!!!
  9. Definatley a Ninja in a previous life, Charlie kitten was just desexed yesterday so was not in full form. Vet said keep him quiet but hes totally hypo locked him in the laundry and he was climbing the blinds??
  10. Thank you everyone, he is very cute and fitted in very well into our mad house!! I have put a link up of a video from my kitten and Harry playing this evening, think they will end up being great mates, they both play very respectfuly with one another, the kitten (Charlie) even waits in the video while Harry does his wee lol!!! Its a bit long but if you watch the first minute and not worry about the rest lol
  11. A couple more pics!! Harry had a fantastic night last night and not one accident today, poor wee thing has felt the heat today so have been keeping him cool and giving him lots of water.
  12. I seem to recall there is another thread in this very same forum which is pretty light on photographs, even with lawn mowers :provoke: Ummm... working on it... *grin* Pity you aren't in Sydney sheenat... I could have lent you my old DSLR camera to get some pics of Harry... Best trick is to just sit patiently while Harry does his mental "cuddle me" thing, and once he's tired of that and goes off to do his own thing, start snapping away. T. Thanks for the offer think its alot to do with the photographer as well lol :)
  13. I have edited another one from yesterday so you can see a close up. Will try more this arvo with a better camera!!! I will go and get a crate this evening thanks for the advice again!!!
  14. Hes black lol and wriggly and the pictures not working lol!!! He just runs for the camera!! Next photography tips lol

Could not get any decent pictures as he is just too bouncy and black but will try again tomorrow. Picture is of my daughter with him first hold, its her new puppy and she is so so in love with him already!!! 21. Katdogs I have now read your journey to expecting puppy hood fantastic read and what a beautiful puppy has made me that little more excited
  22. We picked up our black Lab boy last weekend after ENDLESS waiting (see thread DOL Dog) Havianas will definitely be a favourite. The rule is if you left it on the floor, you must have meant the dog to have it! I'm putting up with the puppy stage but I think I'm better at it this time than with Stevie 7 years ago. We've fostered and cared for quite a few dogs over that time and a bit of wee doesn't scare me like it used to! Wee does not scare me either lol poor Molly dog had become quite incontinent at the end of her life so had a bucket and cloth with detol on hand the whole time.... hmmm must get more detol lol and had forgot about the cords so have been doing that this morning. We also have a new kitten so have had a bit of baby practice ish the past month I know not even simialr lol :)
  23. Or No sleep as I get more nervous lol Rest up now, you might not get any sleep for a while after he arrives  Will try harder tonight to sleep lol .............. he is going to be the best puppy in the world and sleep all night wiithout a peep He is flying to you? If he is coming a long way, he might be so exhausted that he just crashes and sleeps the whole way through, especially if he's on your bed! Good luck for the second night though hahaha hes not flying far just a 40 min flight was better than a 8+ hour drive he will then have a 1+ hour drive in the car home so yes he will be tired and a bit sad leaving his family He is flying with Dogtainers and apparently they are very good??
  24. Hi Katdogs Everyone was saying you had a new puppy, thanks for the advice, rechecking yard today although it is totally colourbond fenced and never had a dog escape thus far. Will pick up all the havianas in the house my daughter would die if they got chewed lol (you watch they will be his favourite) What puppy did you get and did you feel sick with nerves before he came lol, after having Molly dog for 12.5 years I really have forgotten the puppy stage but must have some memories buried deep as my aniexty is so high lol!!! Good luck with your new puppy
  25. Or No sleep as I get more nervous lol Rest up now, you might not get any sleep for a while after he arrives  Will try harder tonight to sleep lol .............. he is going to be the best puppy in the world and sleep all night wiithout a peep
