My Long-hair Miniature Daschund was diagnosed with IBD 12 years ago.... we were told at the time that he would be on a low dose of Prednisone for the rest of his life, including a high protein diet... we even had a rabbit hunter catch us some wild rabbits which we boiled up for him ,
because that was all he could eat plus Science Diet for sensitive digestion.
Sorry i might not help now because im sure things have changed since then, the only thing is with their diet you need to be very careful with what they eat, im sure your vets will come up with a eating plan for him
Good luck with everything
Edited to add, this was when i lived in New Zealand so im not sure what the rules are for catching rabbits here in Australia

Sasha had symptoms like Sable, she had the whole reverse sneezing going on and it was found she had a grass seed right down in her nasal passage
She is fine now but it gave me a scare at the time , i hope Sable is ok and its not Kennel Cough

I have just started my dog on Uncle Albers and she loves it!! will wait a while to see how she is going on it

My flatmates Husky has "dry eye" and she is on optimmune too, she has to have a consult everytime as the vet needs to check the levels of moisture by using those test stick things they stick under her lower eye lid.
He also puts over the counter eye drops in her eyes.

Way way way too far for you Jules But in case anyone else is interested I would always highly recommend Dr Chris Girling at Noah's Crossing out at Lewiston. He knows his stuff inside-out, ESPECIALLY when it comes to large and giant breed dogs A very caring and considerate man who always goes the extra mile for you. I'm very happy with him.
I used to go to that vet, but the travelling was too far
But a fantastic vet

Hi guys and girls
Going by the photos i have seen in Dol and in here i drool over the cameras you all use...
Now i am in the market for a new camera, but i am a bimbo when it comes to anything fiddly or technical , i have been looking around and i am quite keen on the Slr, i also like Nikons, so i guess what im asking is what is a easy to use camera, not too pricey ( around $1000 max)here is one i found when searching:
http://www.teds.com.au/www/6/1001102/displ...--2210233_.html
Or maybe someone will give me advice on other brands
Thanks! sorry in advance if i havent listed everything that you all need to know.
