    Tick Collar

Some scathing reviews on Amazon about irritation from the collar. http://www.amazon.com/Scalibor-Protector-Band-Dogs-Protection/product-reviews/B00474Q0SQ

    Tick Collar

When we went to the vet she said not to use a Tick Collar until the Puppy is 4 months old. She is now 5 months old and we are checking out either 1) Virbac Preventic Tick Collar 2) Bay-o-Pet Kiltix Collar Any recommendations?
  3. Thanks everyone. Not so sure about the mats with water in them. As described by some can create a problem. I ordered one of the Gel Mats. Cheapest price I could find was http://www.topbuy.com.au/tbcart/pc/Cool-Pet-Gel-Mat-Dog-Cat-Non-Toxic-Cooling-Comfort-Bed-Pad-Sz-XXL-90-x-50cm-p193645.htm Be aware delivery won't occur until after Feb 20. I missed the small print there. Doh! If you want one sooner there are some on eBay for a similar price.
  4. http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/canine-cooler-pet-bed-1/ Anyone had any experience using one of these? Looking at buying one for our pup as we are in North Queensland and its always hot. I have seen another version that you fill up with water but I think that has the potential to be ripped open and create quite a mess.

    2 Puppy Questions

Thanks for the help. We are in Far North Queensland so at the moment it is very warm no matter where the puppy sleeps. Puppy has actually been getting better toilet wise. Only issues today were when she got too excited. Every other time she seems to be taking herself outside.
  6. We have a lovely new puppy and have some questions: 1) We heard about the crate trick when getting a puppy to sleep the first couple of nights. We thought that sounded a bit tough. Our puppy has managed to stay in her bed in our room and sleeps there during the night. No crate required. She seems aware that she is meant to stay in her bed. My question is when should we try and let her sleep outside, or will this be too hard to do. The bed we have can be carried outside. 2) In regards to toilet training our pup keeps peeing in our bathroom near our toilet. Is she smelling our smells and thinking thats the place to go? Would it be worth me going to the toilet outside where we want to the pup to go? She has occasionally gone outside and we have done the usual big deal congratulations. Thanks for the help.
