And it's all well and good to say, don't buy dogs from pet shops, but then where do they end up? The law needs to change now.

I paid $770 for my pure bred pedigree black and white BC from a reputable breeder who breeds to maintain the BC breed. Five generation pedigree, scrupulous health testing, she is such an amazing dog temperament wise and to look at. As I said, this particular breeder breeds to maintain a pure and healthy line of BC's, hence why her prices are lower. I have some friends who have paid $1500 for merles and feel a bit "ripped off" but of course are deliriously happy with their pup anyway

Comfortis is for fleas only. It is not a combined product. There have been several published studies on the efficacy of Spinosad (active ingredient in Comfortis) against a specific genus of cattle tick but it is nowhere close to claiming spinosad as a tick prevention product for dogs. All I know is the box says tick and flea and she hasn't had seed ticks since

I use a combined tick and flea tablet from Comfortis, it's once a month and I have had great results
