  1. Thanks so much for your reply. Is there anything in particular I should look for when choosing a dog life jacket . in my quick look online they seem to vary hugely in price. name='DiscoDobe' timestamp='1423280241' post='6644055'] My dog used to swim that way too - bottom down and feet up splashing a lot (which would panic her a bit and make her get out). I work at a hydrotherapy clinic, so I got Elsie swimming properly in the pool there, using a life jacket and supporting her rear in the water. Lots of practice and she swims beautifully now, very little splashing and can swim forever!
  2. Good to hear that i am on the right track with my thinking. Your dally is a similar build to our girl, what brand life jacket worked well for you?
  3. MY GSP loves the water and is very content to play in it, jump through waves etc. However when she can't touch the bottom she lifts her head up and just sort of splashes hugely with her front paws, as a result she doesn't move very far. Does any one have any tips on how I can encourage her to swim "smoother" with her legs. Would a dog life jacket give her more support and maybe relax more so that she paddles smoother, rather than just creating a lot of splash? Would welcome your advise.
  4. Hi, I am hoping that someone can recommend a trainer in Southern Sydney. Many thanks

    Dog Coats

As the weather is starting to get cooler I am thinking of buying a dog coat to keep my GSP warm. She is very active and into everything so it needs to be fairly robust.Does any one have any recommendations of brands that are good and that your dogs don't mind wearing. Any hints on how to get her used to it?
  7. I have a puppy who I want to start doing recall training with and also to use at beach etc. What length recall leash is usually used? Many thanks
  8. Hi, I am after a barrier to keep my dog in the rear cargo section of my Subau Outback Station Wagon Does any one have any rcommendations? I don't like that the genuine Subaru ones are so expensive and once there are difficult to intall and also remove. Do any of he cheaper ones work as described? My dog is currently a puppy but will eventually grow to approx 25 kgs. At present she hates travelling in the rear of the wagon and is constantly trying to get into the back seat. Thanks for your advice.
