  1. Hi everyone I have a 12 week old lab puppy, things are going well when we take her to the beach though she cries in the water is this normal? I thought dogs loved water? She doesn't like when I bath her either which isn't very often because I read that they don't need baths that often? Though my 6 year old was having a bubble bath last night and Rosie was in there just looking, didn't think she would try to get in but she did! She launched half of herself in the bath before I got her out, yet doesn't like her own baths? Lol she is adorable though
  2. Hi everyone Rosie is settling in well, we are having trouble with the house breaking a bit but I'm sure we will get there eventually, I'm having a bit of trouble with crate training her, she doesn't seem to like it much prefers the cold tiles to sleep on I think, but I am perserving with it by trying to make it a happy place and yay! She is in there now at 9.55pm asleep!! So I'm off to bed too now will try to pop in more often and update you all :)

  7. Thanks akristin :) When I was searching for pups I came across a seller that was selling purebred lab puppy's not registered or vaccinated or chipped for $500 they were nearly 9 weeks then I wonder what became of those puppies they were adorable but I learned something here, I don't want to give someone so irresponsible with their puppies health a cent if my money those poor puppies We are down to 8 days to go can't wait to bring Rose home have been watching lots of training videos in the meantime :)

  17. My brother and sil have a labrador which is beautiful so I'm very aware of what the breed are like, I don't know anyone have Goldens so that's what made me ultimately decide on the Labrador, I should be able to pick her up after the 12th of March I'm very excited and feel that I have made the right choice, I'm lining up some puppy school and looking into further training as well, but I may need to come back here and ask all sorts of questions!
  18. Hi everyone thanks for all your advice I have decided not to get the puppy in question and have decided on a labrador which I am getting from a registered breeder which I feel very confident and happy with, thank you everyone for your help
  19. My puppy will be going to puppy school and further training when it is old enough it will be walked two times a day and well socialized it will be crate trained at night, and whenever I can't supervise it while it is young and needs it I am home most of the day to spend with it this isn't a rush decision for our family
  20. Wow you all make it seem like an impossible task to find a good dog to add to our family I have researched both breeds and they are similar in a lot of ways what would be a good family dog in your opinion?
  21. I did but a labrador is just as good as a fit with our family I feel maybe even a better fit
  22. So would I be better off buying a puppy from this breeder? http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/member.asp?name=GLENDARELABS
  23. Isn't temperament a lot to do with how they are socialized and trained?
  24. No I'm not the confrontational type at all I just want a nice dog to add to my family I have two children and have always loved golden retrievers but I guess I let my heart over rule my head in this instance my kids are going to be disappointed as well, but that is life I suppose my husband feels very uncomfortable buying this dog now as do I
  25. Shailer park? No I don't think so these ones are in Ipswich I don't know how to back out I feel terrible I already payed a deposit as well though it's only $100 I can get a papered female labrador for $1000 from a registered breeder so now I don't know what to do
