  1. Has anyone used Belmore Auto Conversions? http://www.motoraccessories.net.au/dog-cage I've now found the info about dog crates on the Caddy Storage website, Diva, and they look promising! I'll call them tomorrow. Thanks so much everyone. I'll let you know how I go...
  2. Thanks for that. I'll give them a ring as their website doesn't provide that information.
  3. Hello DKD Steph, The Spotted Devil, Lablover and others, Thank you so much for your suggestions. I can live without the drawers etc. My main concern is for the dogs' safety and comfort. I don't want to use a trailer because I know someone with a horror story when another car clipped their trailer on the motorway and most of the dogs died. The only reason we bought a Prado was because of its safety rating for the passengers (dogs). I have checked out Puppy Bars and Surefind Keenels in Victoria and others, but need something within driving range of Sydney (happy to travel up to 2 hours). Any suggestions?
  4. Thanks so much for your advice. We're in Sydney so if anyone has any leads in NSW that would be preferred. I will check out puppy bars, though....
  5. I'm looking for a reputable vehicle conversion service for a brand new Toyota Prado (large SUV) that I am purchasing to transport my dogs to and from shows and sporting events. Ideally, they would be able to install safe cages in the back area by removing the second and third row of seats. I'd also love a false floor for storage of crates and equipment. It would be great if they could convert the vehicle so that it didn't interfere with the curtain air bags etc. Any suggestions?
  6. I'm also looking for a ramp for medium sized dogs to get up into a large SUV (Toyota Prado). Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
  7. I have tried it - only once so far a couple of weeks ago. My three dogs ( 2 Border Terriers and a Beagle) were all keen to gobble it up and I saw no bad reactions at all. When I bought it I hadn't read any bad reviews about it. I was a bit nervous about using it, but gave it to them when I was going to be with them 24/7 for a couple of weeks so I could keep an eye out for bad reactions. We live in a high tick prone area in Sydney so I am using Scalibor tick and flea collars as well, just to be on the safe side. Will let you know how it goes ...
  8. Thanks so much, everyone, I am in the process of checking these links out. Will let you know how I go.
  9. Thanks so much for your reply, but the link doesn't seem to work. It takes me to a generic Bigpond page or, alternatively, a Uk web page. Can you check it and send me a new link?
  10. Hello, Any suggestions would be most welcome! Where can I get custom vehicle cages for inside my van for 4-5 medium dogs? I have seen some great set ups at dog shows but didn't ask where they got them done because I wasn't in the larker at the time. planetpink
  11. Hello, I looked into the VW Caddy and found a cheaper option - the Renault Kangoo Maxi Crew. Am just waiting for it to be built and shipped to Oz. Can you recommend a service that will help me convert the four cubic metres of cargo space int a comfortable, but safe travelling area for them? For example, where do you get a false floor? Many thanks, Planetpink
  12. Hello, I currently have four dogs: a beagle and three border terriers. I have recently purchased a Renault Kangoo Maxi Crew (Postman Pat style van) to transport them to and from shows and dog sports. I am looking for a service that will help me convert the four cubic metres of cargo space into a comfortable travelling area for them. Can anyone recommend something? Many thanks, Planetpink
  13. We need to buy a new vehicle for transporting our 5 small-medium dogs in crates (plus luggage). I've seen some wonderful set ups at dog shows but did not investigate them at the time because we weren't in the market for a new vehicle. I don't want to use a trailer as I like being able to see the dogs and make sure they have air conditioning etc. I'm also not confident at manoeuvring with a trailer! What do you use? Have you seen any particularly good set ups? Many thanks, Planetpink
